If the value is deemed above £15 then there's likely to be customs duty applicable. If you are prepared to wait and use standard shipping you maybe lucky and avoid taxes all together.

Technically yes, but if you select the cheaper shipping options (not DHL.) Then you might get away it, I did as the invoice accompanying claimed it was valued at something like it only £40. Took about 7 days to turn up and not slow at all, quite snappyl. Very impressive so far. The screen has a lot of glare as not laminated but colour is impressive as is same panel as MS surface pro.

pill, is it true that it is quite slow? What amount of battery life are you getting from it. cheers

i only used it for a week, & wasn't able to give it a good test. However it was more responsive and fluid compared to an Microsoft surface3 4gb 128gig version (not the surface pro).
My daughter loved it so much especially how well it worked with the Chuwi Pen and the dial boot Android/Windows that she has taken it to university.

Took a chance on this tablet a few months ago. At the time it was £219 on Amazon. I know that's a good £40/50 dearer than the multitude of Chinese sites that stock this, but wanted the comfort in knowing if there was anything wrong I could send it straight back to Amazon............. Which is exactly what I did.

It was quick enough (compared to my original Motorola Xoom, which I'm still using!), and I loved the dual OS aspect, but unfortunately I couldn't get pass the screen sensitivity, and slight audible buzz coming from it. The screen is that of a cheap Chinese phone/Tab as opposed to a Samsung/ HTC/ Apple premium screen.

Also, surprising heavy after awhile.

hmmm do I get this. A chinese tablet which is bound to have defects, no warranty, probably some dodgy windows install (perhaps chinese), dodgy power cable, slow, not laminated screen, update of software not supported. The acer alpha at very is tempting but 3 times the price, only an i3 and poor battery.

Was it the touch sensitivity aspect Did you take the screen protector off?

Tried with and without protector, it was the same. Sometimes would have to retouch 2/3 times. Great shame really, as it could be a good tablet given the price.
