I was trying to find out but need to log in to get delivery charges. Will check out the FAQs on delivery. I wouldn't have thought more than £10 really.

EDIT: Looks like £7.99 delivery charge for monitors (probably £7.99 + VAT = £9.38)

Total probably £113.90 delivered

does this have dvi, and regular vga 21 pin connetion to a p.c. what i need is the ability to change input from pc with regular analogue d-sub, and dvi output converted from hdmi from a dvd player or similar
#7
It has dvi and regular vga sockets, so you could link the 2 but not at the same time obviously :-D

I have one of these and had it for around a year now with no problems apart from the default settings are rubbish and require some tweaking to get the contrast and brightness to an acceptable level. The brightness being the worst offender, even on 0 in the settings its a tad too bright so i had to resort to the graphic card settings to bring it down further.

I went from a 17" tft to this and i must say the difference was HUGE, nice price for this i got mine cheap from scan for £150 so this if you need one is a billy bargain, once its set up ;-)

There's no input select function on this monitor? That's an unusual omission since most LCDs will allow you to switch between displaying the things you have plugged in at once (although the speed varies, some are instant while others can take as much as several seconds which seems like a long time).

Bear in mind that you will probably get some picture stretching for the DVD player as it's expecting a 16:9 TV and this is a taller 16:10 monitor, and being cheap it's likely to try and just stretch the picture to full screen rather than display it properly.

I dunno - every amazon deal posted below £15 appears to forget this

That bugs me too... why do Amazon get special treatment?

Of course it isn't. Nearly everyone knows Amazon's "free over £15 policy", and that's hardly a large order considering the enormous range of stuff that Amazon sells (not to mention the fact that many people do point out the postage gotcha in the deal titles). This is quite different - no way (or no way easily) to avoid the postage charge and the postage charge is not generally known.

The simple fact is that most people buying Amazon deals will make the order up to £15 and get free postage. Most (all?) people for this deal will have to pay the postage on top. So be honest about it, and show the amount people are actually going to pay. This is all that matters.

I TRIED TO ORDER ONLINE, THEY CANT AT PRESENT? so tried phoning...long wait time so gave up as a bad job.

I'm looking to get a TV or monitor to display my PS3 on. This monitor is a pretty good price and has HDCP which makes this a golden buy, only thing I'd like to ask is, can anyone give me any reason not to buy this for my PS3?

Maybe, maybe not. Be grateful to see your research to back up your assessment that it is a simple fact. But the fact you have to incur extra cost does not make the hotukdeal' amazon price that is being posted the price you will pay - you have to buy other gubbins which is not necessarily a hotukdeal. No difference to the guy who posted a great deal here - there are p&p costs to be incurred. Rep to O/P by the way - and don't change the title until the moaners post an equally hot deal!

1-0 to me in simple facts, barker diving header 89 mins.

No need to get pompous about it - I could just as well ask you for your research to prove it the other way.

In that case shall we just settle on "two wrongs don't make a right" and just because people misdescribe Amazon deals here does not give them the excuse to misdescribe others too? The site's rules should be the ultimate arbiter and you should be complaining in the Amazon threads rather than using them as an excuse to misrepresent prices in other threads.

And that says nothing about "heat" or "rep" by the way - that's a different matter entirely.
