wow takes me back to the seventies good post op
#3
Those were the days... in the Sat morn flea pit for 6d, watching Flash Gordon and Loonie Tunes!

Its a quid per person. Basically as long as you have kids you get in for a quid. Also kids pop corn/sweets and a drink is £3 so cheap in that respect compared to adult version of combo deals there too. TBH there is enough in a kids meal that if you take a bottle of your own pop, to keep you both going.
#5
The kids birthday party sorted. Here have some heat.
#6
been a quid for years, i always use it as all the kids films eventually end up there for a pound. bargain! good reminder for those who dont know orhave forgotten

Saw Sorcerors Apprentice today at Vue - on Sun at 10.30 am too. Really enjoyed it, well worth seeing. We go most weekends. Toy Story 3 next week I think at Vue.

Empire cinemas have put their price up to £1.25 for 11am Sat/Sun films but they have included some 3D movies (took the kids to see Alice in Wonderland 3D at Clydebank a couple of weeks back for £3.75!)

hope this link works

This has been around for quite a while. One word of warning for everyone else though. If you are not going to one of the £1 screenings but you intend seeing an early showing of a full price film you will probably get caught up in a queue of hundreds as Cineworld don't seem to differentiate. We missed a film because we were queueing for nearly 30 minutes to get in once. I think Cineworld's answer to this recently is to push the start times for everything else on a little, but just be aware.
#16
Still £1 at my local Empire. Agree about the queue issue -because it's Sat morning they make us buy tix from the catering stand.
#17
Don't forget that also Odeon do this, Cineworld and Vue. All do £1 performances, always on Saturdays and Vue & Odeon do them on Sundays too :)
#18
will keep them quiet
#19
Still not sure why they've never put a Cineworld near me in Swansea. They have one in Cardiff and Newport, and even Llandudno! Shame I can't make use of this deal :( Great one otherwise.
#20
Hi guys, this was one of my first deals i posted, how do i get feedback?
#21
The Odeon also do a similar deal, kids pay £2.50 to get in and the adults get in free.

They do it in Glasgow at the Quay.
#22
We went to do this at Cineworld Cheltenham yesterday. It was Cloudy With A Chance of Meatballs, but the projector broke down so we got let into Dispicable Me 3D which should have been £8, and given free glasses and free tickets to come again another Saturday.

Takes a lot to make me happy but that did!

cold!!!

good deal but its common knowledge?

most cinemas do this kinda deal
#24
Yes it is common knowledge, and when people post on here its usually sold out, which is annoying. Every man for himself.
#25
that is what this site is all about - you sounded quite selfish there.
#26
Most people should know about this deal if they have kids as its been going on for years, but if someone learns about it that didn't know before then it was probably worth the post.

If you are interested in taking the kids to the M4J's the listings are usually added to the website on the preceeding Monday evening. It may not be worth buying online due to the booking fee, but there is nothing stopping people walking into the cinema and buying them earlier during the week if you want to avoid the queues.
#27
OP you did a gd job. People on here always critise and moan! you just have to get used to it unfortunately. Most people are aware of this deal but is always good for those who dont and as a gentle reminder to those who may have forgotten. You made it onto the top five deals!! be proud lol! My local cineworld, now opens its doors early so there are very small queues. once upon a time, the doors opened at 10am and the film started just after, one at 10.10 and one at 10,20 but they had too many complaints. As Mandoo said, if near then pop in earlier in the week and breeze your way in, no probs :-)

Thanks for that info. I can't find it on their website - can you post a link so I can see what's on?
#29
you go on the site and on the left in the list it says 'films' then click on movies for juniors. It has the options there, then put in your cinema to check that it is definately on. Sorted!
