Citi ATMs are located in selected countries only. In the Euro zone, these countries are: Belgium, Germany, Greece and Spain. To view a full list of the location of Citi ATMs worldwide, visit www.citibank.com/locations/atm_body.htm

Only 1 cashpoint in the balearics and none in the canaries.

Bit pointless really then imho

I called and was told no fees and the minimum balance is $1 / EUR 1
Do you have to use Citi ATMs? I'm going to Malawi in a month - but cash machines will be in short supply....
Spotted this on MSE (GIOL). I might give 'em a ring tomorrow (08:00 - 20:00) to check there are no fees etc. (0800 00 88 00)

My local shell is as cheap as ASDA, sometimes cheaper.

Mine too - I signed up for one of these cards at a Shell petrol station a few weeks ago when I was collared by one of those usually annoying, pushy Credit card sale people, but because he had a refreshing attitude and they were offering the 6% I went for it.

TBH I'd been thinking about it for a while - this is especially good if you do lots of miles for work and claim back you miles.

Hot deal.

true...

the 3% back will mean that prices are now competative with the supermarkets :-D

I thought there was a call to spurn Shell and BP garages as they artificially inflate prices at the pump - putting the squeeze on their sales would mean that these 2 "giants" would then reduce their prices to what it should be to get the sales back.

With the current situation on fuel, this is a pretty good deal for those who are responsible with credit cards. I took up a captialone card with the 3% cashback for the first 3 months not so long back, but to be honest this is a great deal as fuel has to be one of the biggest constant purchases on my card!

Thanks OP. Heated up!

note taken dnt open a bank account with CITIBANK
Had real problems with citibank, read in the paper that they were about to start a £100 yearly fee for having a current account, phoned them up and they confirmed this although no correspondence was received from them concerning it, it then it took over 4 months for them to close the account with 6 recorded letters being sent to them and the same when closing credit card account they just ignored my letters.

I've had a good experience with my Citi Platinium card

I had account with Shitibank before, but very poor experience though. A call centre in India is nothing compared to other bad deeds they did.

They refused to pay the £50 promised via Quidco after chasing up to no avail. :x In fact whatever they promised on their website had never been realised, eg, £500 free overdraft, and bonus saving rate on top of your saving account. Their online system is also hard to pay compliments.:-(

So close the accounts after 3 months, never wish to go back again.:lazy: :lazy:
Not bad - their ferarri fuel seems to do the job on long runs :)
What's the catch: The shell rebate you earn on petrol can only be spent back on petrol at Shell.

I got the Quidco payment without any chasing
The nano arrived just before Xmas
I am annoyed about the changes that they are making to the account - to introduce a £10 monthly fee from 1st April - unless I want to drop down to the alternative current account - so I may be leaving citibank.
hi fellas,

sorry to bring this post back from ancient time. however, just want to see how are the people doing who applied for this account?

i applied on 30/09/2006 via quidco. therefore am qualified for the iPod nano and £50 QuidCo cashback.

got a £1 tracked QC transaction later turned into paid, without going to the full amount of £50;
subsequently make an enquiry to QC regarding the missing amount, status at 'sent to merchant', nothing happened since;
just collected my iPod nano few days ago from a branch after a hassle chase.

really disappointed with Citibank, and the QC tracking also QC is not helpful in chasing the missing payment.

i am just curious to know how others are doing, please share your experience, thanks.
Hah good point thepearce! polak you could try showing them the thread although I don't think that will help much. Do use it as assurance that you are right though and push that to the highest levels there.

I took out the offer on the 13th July, when this deal was first posted, and the only stipulation was the payment of 2 salaries into this account (2 SO/DDs was not on the T&Cs at the time).

Anyway, my second salary went in and I called asking for my Ipod... the call centre girl asked when I opened the account, to which I replied the 13th July, when the first £1 cheque went in. She then replied that this 'Free ipod' offer only began on the 21st July!!

I'm now debating the toss with them, but the offer was definitely on their internet site when I opened up the account (in fact it was the only reason I opened up the account in the first place..)

Beware everyone!

Started on the 21st July eh..... so I guess the OP had some sort of premonition on 06-07-2006, 13:42. That sucks.

I've gone for this deal and will do similar to as suggested above - no great hardship.
I have learnt always take screen shots of every page on deals on the internet.

Sorry, I never did this one so don't have any or I would have shared them.
