I've reserved one until Monday. Just need to decide if I need a new watch, and if I'm willing to part with 70 notes for one. Hmmmm.

LOL
#9
I purchased this watch few years ago for almost double the price.

It looks nice and expensive, it is very heavy and feels good to wear. No problems with it at all.

It seems its a good model which the price keeps dropping and increasing. Snap it up

Isn't it great when people have the freedom to post unfounded general libelous statements such as this and contribute so much to the conversation!

I did not realise it was a full moon tonight......:whistling:

Excellent watch if you like them a bit chunky and heavy. Plus you never need to change the batteries!

I just had a wonderful PM from Simon 1966

"What is wrong with my comment?

Argos do sell seconds - i should know company i used to work for supplied Argos.
Ever wondered why items Argos sell goods that are sold in plain boxes???????????

Keep your remarks to yourself or say it to my face - if you dare!"

Simon, I think you will find that I did not say it behind your back I said it in public (and therefore to your face) and am quite happy you read it. I have no problems with what I said. I think your comment was totally crass and stupid and I think your PM just confirms it.

Take your anger elsewhere, you are just making me laugh now. Perhaps you should address your comments to both Argos and Citizen................ if you dare! LOL:p

:) It's not just this place, they inhibit lots of other forums too

About the watch - I've had three citizen watches in the last 15 years, only one has broken and that was my fault. The original I got 15 years ago still works, although the battery doesn't hold it's charge for quite as long (it cost me £100) My current one is almost 7 years old and still going strong. Citizen make excellent watches, there are better but I don't think you can get a Rolex for this sort of money :)

Hot from me.

I got this watch about a year and a half ago now and it's excellent, especially for this price.

It's taken more knocks than I can count and has barely a scratch on it!

I have had a citizen Promaster Aqualand II Titanium watch for the last 13 years and apart from being sent to Citizen twice for a new battery and calibration I have worn it every day of the 13 years, and on every dive I have been on, and it is still superb and accurate for both time keeping and diving. I love the fact that I can download every dive profile to my laptop in seconds just by sitting the watch in a cradle.

Seriously tempted by this as I need to send it off again for another battery and calibration.

Hot deal.

Cracking deal, reserved one :)

Heat added.

However I must add that I've only just noticed the new Argos logo on their website. Looks a bit naff to me, but there you go.
#31
if somebody is interested, there is 1.5% quidco up for grabs too:thumbsup:
#32

Never again! I had a Seamaster and it was no sooner out of warranty than the timekeeping went to pieces - sent it to Omega for repair and they said the flywheel was out of true and quoted me over a hundred (and this is old money I'm talking about here) told them to stuff it and flung it in the sea in disgust!

Watch out for adverse comments from gizmouk and Hatchorder, they don't seem to like negative comments or free speach!

IMO, this is a great watch and great value under £100. Although Argos seem to be the only stockist for this model in the UK, I've seen this watch for sale in licensed outlets in a couple of European countries for over £200.

I bought mine from Argos 18 months or so back for around the £70 mark. Wearing it now :-)
