I like - another hot deal - thanks!

I've had a citizen eco-drive for a few years now and never had a moment's trouble. As a result, I bought another this summer.

Just seen this price is only currenlty valid until 4th November on the website.

Voted cold as we all got a copy of Argos Christmas Catalog.

Therefore, cue lots of offers from it.

No we didn't, and if it wasn't for this post I'd not know about the deal.

Poor excuse for a cold vote IMHO.

some people just have to be the victor meldrews of the world and I guess you're one of them, where I see or find the offer is irrelevant. If we all followed that philosophy no one would post any deals on here because we can all go to play.com website and we all walk into tesco/asda/morrisons/sainsbury to do our weekly shopping!!! In fact why do you bother looking on here cos with that mentality you must know about every deal at every shop or website you use...mmmm I think not

Right rant over thanks to everyone else who Is same and voted in the appropriate way

Just spoted in Argos today myself ;-) Has anyone bought this?

Do you know the actual model number, how hefty is it?
#9
1.5% quidco too
#10
good value for an ecodrive.

No worries about battery ... EVER!

The face looks a bit cluttered for my liking for someone a bit old fashioned that just wants a watch to tell the time.

Just looked online and it is even cheaper now by a whole 99p!!!!

Yes price online now £79.00
#13
Can't justify buying it but looks a great watch

HOT with that price drop.

I prefer the Casio solar Waveceptors, as they change hour with the clock change and adjust their own time each night - although have a poorer build quality.

I have the waveceptor tough solar ..
Brilliant piece of technology. Auto illumination when it's dark and when you tilt the face to read the time too!

I would take trhe Citizen all day long over the DKNY. From what I have seen of DKNY watches the Citizen will easily out last it.

me too

Just noticed the DKNY does not have a date function so have cancelled and gone for the Citizen.
Maybe busy but a geeks delight :whistling:

Does anyone know the size of the Citizen watch? I'm really after a Citizen Calibre 2100 but would be interested to know if the Argos deal one measure up with similar dimensions.

I'm sure it's a great timepiece but that Citizen just looks so dated and not in a chic/trendy retro sort of way. It looks like it should come with a free pair of Cuban heels and a stick on Mexican moustache.

Most 18yos will trash or lose a watch prior to its needing new batteries, so there in not much point in getting one that in theory could run forever.

Many of the Waveceptor models have plastic at the edge of the case made to look like metal (where the batteries are stored) and it does not wear well compared to the metal.

Any watch that is likely to be taken to a gym, pool, beach, welded in, used near angle grinders, swam in salt water, will look rough quite soon.

Get him driving lessons or something else practical, and a thirty quid etc watch.

Thanks OP, I really needed a new watch but didn't want to spend a fortune and wanted a classic looking watch. Just picked mine up and it looks great.

Cheers, H+R to you.

Still available at this price and in stock too, so why is it expired?
#29
Still on offer at this price until 24/12/08 - please unexpire!
The Citizen is way better quality than the others and the eco drive means it never needs batteries - so it STAYS water proof
