Just ordered for me and my sis. Shame they don't allow groups of more than 2, could have been a fun girls day out.

be prepared to face a full-on sales pitch throughout

Unless you are extremely thick skinned and strong willed, you will end up spending £hundreds.......
They hard sell you so much and you are captive.

BE WARNED!

Yeah, I know. I did one of these about 8 years ago and my then boyfriend paid something ridiculous like a grand for all of the pictures. This time, i'll be going with my sister who will keep me under control. At least I hope she does, coz I haven't got the money this time!

This is the covershots scam. Speaking from experience of them, STAY AWAY!!! Basically they do a makeup session which involves professional grade make up (which is ultra thick) OH looked like a clown, it looked AMAZING on the photos but you would never, ever go out looking like it so makes the "restyle yoursleve" element completely pointless!!

After the session you get BOMBARDED with sale pitch, after an hour or so of seeing huge 12' pix on the wall you get to drawn in. Its worse than any double glazing or soffit and facia sales pitch Ive ever had the misfortune to sit through!! They are consumate ass kissers and at the end we felt so bulled up that we ended up signing for nearly a grands worth!!

Dont get me wrong, the pix are OK (nothing astounding) and the prices are no too bad but they push on volume and give mega "unmissable" offers to bump up the order. Luckily they went into administration shortly after we received our prints (they do this often, I assume cos word gets around and they need to change their name) and they forgot to bill us (one call from the receivers went to our old address and as its been over 6yrs the debt is dead... suckers!!!).

Anyway, please bear this in mind, please believe that Im no pushover and they got me, I doubt everyone would be as lucky as us and get away with free prints!!

Simple, its credit law!! A debt is unenforcable after six years of no contact. Unless its for property or they were granted a CCJ or its a crown debt (court fines, council tax, etc) at which point its more complicated. I could still be chased by a debt collector, they just can't take me to court or try any other legal action once six years is up. This is known as statute barred. In other words, a dodgy "debt collection company" could buy the debt for say 2p in the £1 and take the risk that I will just roll over and give them the cash, they can ask me for it but if I state that it is statute barred then they have to accept it and crawl back into the dirty hole they came out of!!

How come no one has written a review on play.com stating these issues?!

Dont know, perhaps its a newish item, perhaps people feel that they have not been ripped off!?!?! This is a relatively small forum and a niche product yet you have quite a few who have warned you, at the end of the day its up to you if you ignore them.

What I mean is the warning should be in a review on play.com

Totally agree but like I said, its done VERY well, the sales team know how to hook you in, full of "oohhh thats amazing, you look gorgeous" and "I dont know how you will choose just the one, but hey, we have some great offers on at the moment and we can spread it over as long as you'd like". Its only now I look back and think, jesus, was I THAT gullible!

The pics are good, I just wonder how they got me to part with a grand (in theory thank god!!), its not the pix or the prices, its the psychological sales pitch that Im warning people about, if you are pre warned you could easily just take the freebie and run.....
