Just in case anyone's wondering about the quality. It's an OK desk, we bought one 4 years ago, still intact despite it being used heavy-handedly by 10 year old (having heavy fishtank on it and junk stuffed in drawers). It's not very solid but more than adequate for a kids bedroom. Great price this.

Would heavily agree with above.......Honestly wouldn't pay anymore than this for it though (my son used to have the same and it was this price before a few years ago ).......if your after something to really last i would seriously consider looking around and consider spending more cash......ye get what you pay for i'm afraid........

Would heavily agree with above:

Seconded (or should that be thirded?!). Yup - wholeheartedly agree. Just bought one and now assembled. Cheap and cheerful. Drawers very small (you'd think from overall dimensions they should be an OK size, but the drawer unit doesn't go the full depth!). Also suggest gluing ALL joints to give it some strength/longevity.

Otherwise think this is a great price for something that may be used/last for around 5 years. Never underestimate the ability of a teenager to trash all within their reach.....

HOT!

Good price. I bought one few years ago at full price and it was naff - veneer flaked off quickly and the table snapped when we moved house. Everything from Ikea that was cheap survived!

argos desks are pretty crap to be fair. still a good price overall though!! all the top layer comes off easily and looks naff

Using one as a PC desk and it's alright. The depth is a little too short for my liking though.

Considering one to use as an art workspace. Can anyone give me an idea of how roomy the top is? Are we talking a3 pad and space for materials? Obviously i'm after a cheap one that i wont mind getting ruined with ink/paint etc.

Cheers

I got one of these and I'm sure I only paid £20 for it. Is this not a case of raise the price for a awhile then make it look like it is at a discount?

Had mine for 3 years, all still ok, don't expect anything great, but it does the job.

Hi,

I put it together on my own with no difficulties. And I can't see why it couldn't be used as a dressing table. The little drawers at the side of it make it a great place to store things you need everyday but don't neccessarily won't on show all the time.

I've brought the oak version of this desk for my pc, and I am really chuffed with it considering how much it is. It wouldn't hold someone jumping on it but if you assembly it where you want it you should be fine with it's build.

My other half bought one for this purpose and is fine. She got the rose/pink one to go in one of our spare bedrooms which she uses as a dressing room. She painted the whole room bubble gum pink and I kid you not, even painted the ceiling! Not a room to wake up in with a hangover!

Forgot to say, yes easy to put together on your own. The top is quite heavy that's all, think that's why they suggest 2 people.

thanks for the help

Shame there is none in stock near me. This would have been perfect.
