I have a 6630 running TomTom but have read (in the past) people having loads of problems with the N70. Do you know if these are fixed now? I couldn't find any more up to date details on this as people are now on the N73 and beyond.

do you know does T-Mobile lock their phones? thanks.
#6
Vast majority of tmob phones are locked.

I had problem to run tomtom on N70 (BT kept drop out), no problem with 6630 or 6680
#8
does anyone know would this N70 be unlocked? thanks.
#9
N70 is currently unlockable outside of a network asking Nokia for the code for your phone (3 charge £15 for this service after contractual period, dunno what tmob ask)
#10
Not sure why the OP suggests that the phones from OSPS are usually unlocked. Mine from E2Save have not been - and I am pretty sure it is the same stock as the OSPS as they are part of the same group. What do you base this statement on Raven? Thanks,
#11
I doubt all Tmob phones are via tmob themselves after branding/selling to retailers, massive players like CPW, thelink, Phones4u have been known to provide their own handsets even on Orange where branded handsets is almost law it seems.

I imagine unlocked handsets is possible but is only a small minority who get them on non-02 network deals.

good spot

We've had about a dozen phones from OSPS across the family etc all but one was clearence phones on O2, Orange and Virgin. Some were referbs and some were new boxed all were sim free - but not had any T-mobile.

hi, im a newbie, ive placed the order thru quidco, using their "click here to visit this merchant and earn cashback" for £37.50, ive placed the order to onestopphoneshop but nothing has come up on quidco and i rang onestopphoneshop and they said they have no idea what im talkina bout:-(
#15
Usually you have to wait a couple of days to see your Quidco tracked order... it doesn't appear immediately. If you still can't see it after 2 weeks then you can ask Quidco to check it out. I have had to do this only once.
#16
OSPS wouldn't
quidco use affiliate trackers like tradeddoubler so why would they? read the quidco faq
Also it can take weeks for quidco to track your cashback and 2-3months for it to be paid.

Quidco tracking is NOT immediately visible. Usually takes a day or two or could happen within hours. You will see tracked transaction under 'My Earnings' and will change to 'validated' when the merchant approves the transaction. Then Quidco will process the payment to your paypal or bank account.

HTH

These guys are a bunch of muppets; they can't even produce accurate T&C’s. Ask them where clause 15.5 is, as mentioned in their published statement below?

13.6 If the conditions set our in point 15.5 are not met, we reserve the right to refuse accept the goods returned. The goods may then be returned to you at your own cost. Any charges applicable for any unauthorized returns must be paid, and we reserve the right to charge the debit or credit card you used when applying for your mobile phone.

Agree, the cash back process is very complicated and I must stress to you all that even after sending your letter recorded delivery, legally they can chose whatever date to accept the correspondence and you are NOT covered by the signed for date. Be warned please.

please forgive if i sound like a complete **** here

But am I the only one here worried that all these people who do not know and/or choosing not to read http://www.quidco.com/help/, are putting at risk quidco's position with regard affliate trackers and retailers.

Quidco SHOULD NOT BE an extra burden for any retailer imo, the moment it becomes so Quidco's neogeotiating position becomes weakened no?
I'm happy to be told I'm wrong here from Admin or other quidco associates.

People really should learn to read the quidco site and not make assumptions and bother retailers with ignorant questions
Or is that really asking too much?

yes i had a 6630 with tomtom but moved to an N70 - the problem with the N70 is the bluetooth connection manager - it drops connections every now and then to the GPS device. The latest firmware for the phone helps but doesnt fix it completely - it's still usable and a much better phone than the 6630, esp if you want MP3 etc.

The problem is not specific to tomtom GPS use it's any bluetooth connection such as headsets etc, but since it may take 40-50 mins before it drops the comms you only tend to notice it on GPS comms which you have running for a long time
