If you are trying to get pregnant:

Clearblue are supplying a fertility monitor and 6 months worth of test sticks to go with it. Also a pregnancy tests, one per cycle. If you get pregnant while on the trial you will get £60 in high street vouchers
In return you have to collect an urine sample every day (they provide the sample containers) then send them away every 2 weeks probably. Also you keep a diary with an info about your cycle and monitor readings, they provide that too.

There is a pop up window on their website that has a link to a form that you have to enter your details in to. They will call you back to find out if you are a suitable candidate.

Good luck

It is not a freebie or a deal as such, so I am not sure where to post it.

Just to add that the urine sample containers have a preservative in them and are sealed very well, so no smell. Also the diary is basically a printed sheets of paper where you record your monitor readings and any medication that you took, like paracetamol, etc so.

Suppose they should be able to, wouldn't bet on getting the £60 though ;-). Same for lesbians with a 'donated' sample. Equal rights

Fun for all, wouldn't fancy having wee pots about for 2 weeks before sending it.....PHEWWWWWW

A baby's gender is determined by the chromosomes in the sperm, not the egg. XX makes female, XY makes male, all eggs contain an X chromosome, so sperm donates other X or Y chromosome. Female sperm live up to 5 days, male sperm up to 3 days. (Egg lives 12 to 24, maybe even 36 hours after ovulation.) Female sperm live longer but swim slower than male sperm. (******* environment supposedly contributes to sperm longevity, alkaline/acidic - male sperm prefer baking soda douche prior to sex, female prefer acidic (vinegar) (supposedly) - but most importantly of all, male swim quicker, so for male baby, have sex within 6 hours before ovulation, to beat female sperm to egg. Vice versa, for female baby, have sex 4-5 days before ovulation, for better chances of having a girl baby. Test for ovulation with home ovulation testing kit, get familiar with when you ovulate, and plan accordingly for future ovulations and future timing of intercourse.

i have
a boy and a girl who are 13 and nearly 12 from a previous relationship they go with their dad every weekend
then me and my partner have had 4 boys together (1 stillborn)

so i have 5 in total but i would love for us to have a girl 2getha :)

i cant get him drunk he doesnt drink,he is very clumsy though if u get my drift and clumsiness is how "accidents" happen :)

i will convince him in the end, maybe when youngest is around 1 and a half i would like to have one last baby,as long as its healthy thats the main thing

Pity my bloke had the chop or i could of done this! Although saying that one look at his hoohaa when he didnt have the snip and i was pregnant lol

I have two boys and two girls, I had a book called "Girl or Boy, Your Chance to Choose " it worked a treat and it was all about timing conception as mentioned earlier......For a girl abstain near to ovulation, for a boy do it all the time!! It is harder to get a girl and to be succesful you need to do a temp chart to see when you ovulate, although once youve ovulated its too late!!!!
Just an observation, but some of my mates have all one sex children and the ones with all boys are far more desperate to have a girl than those with all girls to have a boy. I personally believe that everyone would have both sexes if free choice were available.
Just one more trivial fact, despite it being banned there used to be a clinic in London called (I think) The London Gender Clinic. They used to seperate ivf eggs once fertilised...........more people chose girls than boys which blew the theory out of the water about it being used for producing a male heir for some cultures/religions!
#32
thanks wendyak may have a look for that book.
the thing with me and books is i read a page and if asked what it was about i couldnt tell ya
its the same when i watch tv it goes straight over my head, its like a sieve
i could do with something that i just peed on and it told me straight go and have sex now
but i suppose if i want a girl i need to be more focused
is the book pretty straight forward with 5 pages or a big thick book full of medical jargon lol
couldny u just be my mentor wendy u seem to know what your talking about lol :)

Its a small paperback written by a woman who wanted to tip the odds without doing anything medical or dangerous, it also has lots of funny examples such as Airline pilots nearly always have girls !! The book is old as my youngest has just started seniors but it is very good and gives a light hearted insight into what some medical people have discovered over the years.
I just didn't want to leave it to chance so when I wanted the second baby so I started a temp chart and timed when to do the deed. Hubby was most amused when I woke up one morning and announced " ooh, i've ovulated and that means that I could be eight hours pregnant and it will be a boy!".......He was born on the due date and had the biggest.......muscles you have ever seen on such a small baby, what a boy he turned out to be and what a pickle, but now he's all man and twice the size of his brother! Oops here he comes, home from work and hungry , must dash.
