Not sure why this is cold, speaker is £419 everywhere else

People are idiots! This site used to be good for specific deals. Of which this should be one as sonos is hardly ever discounted.

However people are voting cold because you can get a Bluetooth speaker for £20.

People who know what these are, what they do, and are prepared to spend the money will get what they pay for. As will those who choose to spend the said £20!

Was going to go for the new LG OLED, but won`t pay close to £5/- while they still have banding issues. This is my compromise to bridge the gap until QLED arrives or OLED sorts out the banding issue…

Iv spent hundreds on various bulbs and it just simply isn't worth it. Rules and alarms don't work properly with official app 3rd party apps help but it's just too many apps to a simple thing.

Did they not change the bulbs also with the gen 2 update? I know they are all backwards compatible but I'm not sure what changes they made other than colour of the base.

not too sure tbh.. they changed the lumens on the white ones though

they did update the bulbs too. search for specs but there was a difference. name also changed to something like "white and ambience"

Hub 1 doesn't work with Apple HomeKit, so it all depends on people's requirements. For me it was a must for it to all work with HomeKit for Siri on my iPhone and also my nest protect alarms.
I'd say unless you have a gen2 hub and want to take advantage in reduced bulbs for £80 majority of people will be disappointed with a gen 1 hub product.

Yeah, I have Samsung, so it works well for me. Also, works with Smartthings Hub and Amazon Echo.
Still would work out slightly cheaper to buy a Hub V2 separately tbh (assuming on £50 for V2 Hub)

I just got an e-mail from Cleverboxes saying the order has been cancelled and my money is being refunded. They say its due to a price error. It was worth a try!

Got all the way to checkout & still stating £600 which was the figure sent to PayPal. Unsurprisingly, I cancelled the order.
Looks like they've 'fixed' it by increasing the mouse to a ludicrous price tag again and have made sure it won't change to the original price. Shame you didn't get it at a good price

Yes, I also had the cancellation email, today. Not impressed, as it's their mistake. If the item had been put out fir sale in a real shop, they'd have been required to honour the erroneous price. :(
No they wouldn't.
Yes they would, as Sale of Goods Act would apply (which is why I took the time to write the reply).

Hmmm you might want to do some more research on that.

Possible for JL price match?
They will only price match a handful of physical stores and ones that match their guarantee (5yrs)
I ordered the Samsung 40H6200 40 Inch Full HD Freeview HD 3D Smart TV from Argos on offer at £330, see http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/3601406.htm?cmpid=COJUN&catalogId=10001&cjsurferid=878803127450052647%3Au1zdHg7YB2je&_%24ja=tsid%3A11674|prd%3A1546795&storeId=10151&referredURL=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.argos.co.uk%2Fstatic%2FProduct%2FpartNumber%2F3601406.htm&referrer=COJUN

Despite reserving and paying in advance, order got cancelled. Typical crap Argos customer service there...

However I am wondering which is the better TV. Both are quite similar and have 4 x HDMI slots. The 40H6200 is a 2015 model and not more than a year old. Seems like that may be the better buy?
Cannot add to basket, seems to be out of stock. Can get at Richer Sounds for £379 with 6 year warranty though.
Unlikely that John Lewis will price match it as their option comes with 5 year warranty as standard
Cold from me as this is a 2 year old TV, should be cheaper than this.

Won't allow link to be posted but it's mighty deals. Maybe a dodgy site? Apologies if so but have used them before
Thanks, just had a quick look though have already ordered this one. That samsung logo is a bit deceiving, as it's the battery that's made by samsung which is the same as this deal.

Delivery is £21 and warranty is only 6 months through m1ghtydeals. I think the extra bit of warranty is worth the £49 extra from this deal.

Cheers anyway

thank you so much. received today. definitely recommend cleverboxes for their great customer services. would love to place order in future.
Yes, as stated above, I pointed out that I had ordered on the basis of accepting the Ts & Cs they presented at time of order, hence they were bound by them. Apology received, commitment to order confirmed and signed for delivery this morning !!!!

So sometimes it is good to push back "with good reason" and we have all benefited.

783mhz? Not amazing.
Probably find a faster 2GB card, or even go for the 660(i think?) that's just come out for 50 quid less.
GB's don't mean anything in the graphics card world, my 1GB outperfoms most 2gb cards with power to spare.

Clock speed is only one piece of the puzzle and cannot be used as a definitive measuring stick. You need to look at the cuda core count / shaders etc... to get a true idea of the performance. As for your comment about vram your way off. GB does mean alot if you play games at high res, often very fast cards are bottlenecked by a lack of vram (gtx570 / 670) at high resolution. Your card would be terrible running something at 2560 x1440 on a large display, irrespective of its clock speed. Not only that you fail to mention exactly what card you have in your epeen rant.

The 580 is still an absolute beast but as other say gets battered in performance per watt terms vs the new 6XX series.

I was making a point that the VRAM isn't that important.

Yep, your wrong.
Meh, believe what you like dude and enjoy your rant.

Card was irrelevant, I was making a point that the VRAM isn't that important. Hell, you can pick up a 1GB card for £25 quid these days but yeah, the shaders etc will be nowhere near as good.
I have an overclocked 560TI. Would have been the new one but the 100 price jump seemed pointless considering I can play BF3/Skyrim on ultra at high fps

560TI on BF3 with Ultra settings+ high fps? sorry but I don't believe you. My GTX 570 with a 960mhz overclock couldn't handle BF3 on ultra due to there being not enough Vram, so there's no way your 560TI does it. Unless your 560TI is the 2GB Card and/or you game at less than 1920x1080.

Yeah I have to concede that I hadn't researched price vs performance properly before posting this deal. I only saw a decent deal for this specific card and posted it up.

I would have to agree that anyone buying a new graphics card should seriously consider a 670 chip over this, particularly if VRAM is not important (i.e. you're using 1920 × 1080 or less, or single monitor 27" or less)

The same model is available from ebay through Cleverboxes. 878£ + 8£ (postage). Ebay has an additional 10% discount which will bring it down to 798£.
The Invoice will be provided directly by Cleverboxes. So still eligible for Samsung VAT cashback I believe. I have ordered one and applying for Cashback. After the cashback the price will be down to around 650£. Great deal.

Did applying for samsung cashback from your ebay purchase work? I am also looking to buy a samung laptop on ebay (from a company seller) Thanks for any help/advice!

Yes. I recently got confirmation from Samsung that my claim has been validated and approved. The invoice I got from Cleverboxes had a EBAY reference number as well. As long as you have valid Invoice number and VAT paid from the seller, it will do I think.

I'm interested but can you give alink to where it states cashback extended, only seeing end of October
stock still showing as 2, now either no one has bought them yet or people are buying but cleverboxes have more in stock.......... beats me completely.

BUT I can assure you something, irrespective of what HUKD temperature of this deal is, I am very confident it is a cracking deal. Many people including me have got their claims validated so there is nothing to suggest this will be a failure. It only needs determination....

but anyways, its down to personal choice. Hunters have a different mindset sometimes ;)
