Looks to be the same as my Eno ET-3000 which is fantastic for tuning the guitar.

This does seem to be an older model, with the ET-3100 now released however this model does have 136 five star reviews on amazon so must be worth it at this price.

Amazon is suggesting an 8-9 day delivery period, but is that to do wth all these bank holidays?

Seems a good price. Too good.

Is there a fret of the deal having strings attached?

Only really useful for a complete novice, anyone playing longer than a couple of months should use their ear.

You don't play live I assume.

Thanks - needed chromatic tuner. As with all of these accuracy is lost when the battery fades.

If you have access to a PC when using your guitar I recommend AP Tuner. It's shareware, you can use it unregistered but you are supposed to register it if you use it a lot.
Anyway, it's the best tuner I've ever used: www.aptuner.com

I have two of these:

http://****.co.uk/Clip-on-Digital-Acoustic-Violin-Bass-Guitar-Tuner-NEW-/390295664097?pt=UK_Guitar_Accessories&hash=item5adf6f35e1

At half the price of the above (inc P&P) and able to accurately read E & A strings (I've found some clip on tuners do not) they are a good investment.

The only downside is the 12-16 day delivery time from Hong Kong/ China.

As was said above, only good for a complete novice player using their guitar in the house.

Not suitable for live, recording, or playing with friends. These will become less accurate as the battery runs down and will offer slightly different readings each time it's turned on and off. They'll likely be pretty poor quality too so as you use it three times more than a decent tuner it's likely to break or develop a fault before you get your money's worth.

It makes far more sense to get something like this - Korg Chromatic tuner . These also have a built in microphone for using with acoustic instruments so there's no need for cables. Overall, a far better turner that'll give better results whilst being better value for your money, £8.89 with free delivery.

For anyone playing in a vaguely professional setting should invest in a good sturdy, accurate tuner. E.g. [url= http://www.gak.co.uk/en/boss-tu-3-pedal-tuner/28335] Boss TU-2 (Or TU-3)]

Yes and I use my ear, what's your point?

Spot on digriz, I play live and when you're setting up for a gig you've got crowd noise, drummers testing his set out, you can't exactly say everyone be quiet please whilst I listen to my tuning lol!

Plus you'd have to tune everything else too, your ear isn't going to allow you to tune perfectly with someone else who is either using a tuner or tuning by ear also.
