Close Encounters Of The Third Kind: 30th Anniversary Ultimate Edition (2 Discs) (Blu-ray). I think this is of a card packaging judging by the reviews but can't guarantee.

Close Encounters Of The Third Kind is director Steven Spielberg's mesmerizing movie about Earth's encounter with spaceships and alien beings as experienced by one ordinary man.

Richard Dreyfuss is Roy Neary, a man who, after encountering an unexplainable phenomenon one night, becomes obsessed with discovering more, to the dismay of his wife (Teri Garr) and family.

Legendary French filmmaker François Truffaut plays the head of a government agency hoping to attract the aliens to an isolated mountaintop in this unforgettable sci-fi thriller.

It does, directors cut is a bit dreamlike. Worth the price if you like the film, definitely if you love it. (still can't find R2D2 in it though)

I saw it at the Dominion Tottenham Court Rd when it first came out, and marvelled at the helicopter sounds overhead when you couldn't even see them but I don't think I really liked the film, maybe I appreciated the initial spectacle, but it hasn't clinged to me like Star Wars ..

P.S. DiGriz - would that be Slippery Jim DiGriz?

nice one

Fantastic film, heat added. :{

One of my favourite films of all times. Already have the special edition DVD....and have held off buyng this, mainly because of the reviews. Some say transfer brilliant, some say don't bother....but at this price it's probably worth a punt.
#17

Arrived today - 4 working days, pretty good for Play these days. (orekul - not cardboard boxed) 2 disk blu-ray. All 3 versions of film on disk 1, extra's on disk 2 - documentaries, deleted scenes. Very Happy.

I didn't think it would be, thanks for confirming

i got the cardboard box version lol - because i bought it from zoverstocks on playtrade since it was 1p cheaper and i prefer playtraders over play as if anything goes wrong its easier to sort out.

even though it was used it was in top nick - comes with poster, booklet and nice digipack packaging. was well chuffed since i think that version is quite rare.

zoverstocks are awesome too - they are basically musicmagpies selling company.
