OK, it's not a Guillermo Del Toro, but it's a bargain price for a pretty good full on Hollywood action film.

Good for a stocking filler for that brother-in-law you've never really liked!

I know, but it's a good time to buy just before christmas.

I was looking forward to this film before its release and was excited by the traliors.

But I still have not seen it.

May just get this or watch it on Sky Movies.

This is officially THE worst film I have ever seen bar none.....I wouldn't have it if Amazon gave me £2.98.

Spend the money on something more entertaining like a tin of paint, then paint a wall and watch it dry.....loads more fun!!!

I loved this movie. Was my favourite of last year.

Well worth £2.98 IMO

Still £2.98 too much for this kind of film :p

Comic guy voice on...

"Worst film ever..."

I thought the style of the film made a refreshing change and I quite enjoyed it. I suppose I just wasn't expecting much from it, which always helps. With the element of surprise now totally gone I don't think that it's a film that I could sit through again though.

See I thought this was ace, just one of them films I spose!
#13
One of the worst films ive seen. For the first 10 minutes I thought the camcorder shot footage would end, but it didnt. What a total dissapointment !
#14
Probably one of the worst movies I have ever seen. I thought I would give it a go as it had mixed reviews but I would better have spent the money on some pencils and poke my eyes out with them so I wouldn't have to put them through this movie.

A great film with a novel story telling method likely to bore those also bored by foreign subtitles

I liked it, bit Blair whitchy, ie makes you work to enjoy it, like a good book.
#18
Agree worst film I saw in the last year. The director really lost his MOJO on this effort...back to filming Lost season 6 fella........

It'll be best if you just dont watch at all, worst film I have seen in a long time. Once it's watched you can't get that time back.

Matt Reeves didn't direct Lost.

There was so much hype over this movie. But the shifty camera filimg made me not want to watch it.

i watched it and so have my kids and its a great movie. Watch it in the dark with no interruptions). imdb gave it 7.5 so the half that are saying its ***** most probably watch it in the light whils doing stuff round the house. its atmospheric so needs to be watched in a certain way.

agree 100% - ignore first 20 mins & watch it late at night with lights off & with no kids around - I liked it, made me jump & it was different. Definitely one of those love it / hate it movies ;-)

Great price for a great film, voted hot.

Also, the Blu-Ray is £8.89 at sendit.com for high-def lovers, and the 2-disc edition is £4.99 at Play (and part of their 3 for £12 offer) for those who like watching DVD extras (from what I can tell, most of the extras from the US DVD have been removed from the UK 1-disc DVD in favour of a special feature that branches off to extras during the film, and the missing stuff is on the second disc of the 2-disc set.)

Aw, come on; "likely to bore those also bored by foreign subtitles"? It's a monster movie, not Russian Ark!

No no, the first 20 minutes are totally necessary IMHO; you learn a little about the characters, and I love the contrast between that and the bit where everything hits the fan.

I saw it on Sky not so long ago and thought it was really entertaining. It seems to be the kind of film that splits the vote...worth giving it a go at this price.

...it's certainly not the worst film ever made, that's just idiot talk!!!

Wow - seems to divide opinion a bit.

I liked it - I'm intelligent, I have a good knowledge of film and excellent taste.

Can those who disliked it say the same?

I enjoyed this film, however, the handycam perspective got very old, very quickly.

The special effects were very well done indeed and totally wasted due to the handycam theme...:x

I watched Paranormal Activity last night - brought up due to an earlier mention of the Blair Witch Project which also ties in with the handycam idea.... what a load of toss :whistling:

Should be in Marks & Expensive penny bazar!

Terrible movie! If you like yourself, don't waste your time watching this!!!
