COLD

More expensive than the CD version and mp3s are NOT CD quality. Also 3.99 is the usual price for mp3 albums nowadays.

But thanks for taking the time to post and welcome to HOT UK Deals

No DRM on them since January. But still not a good deal. They rely on the stupid people who cant convert them themselves.

Not true.

iTunes Music is now DRM-free since January. Movies, TV & Videos still have DRM as the movie studios and broadcasters wouldn't allow distribution without.

You do realise that all commercial DVDs are "infested with DRM" too don't you?

The only difference is that DVD's CSS DRM was cracked years ago. Apple's DRM is constantly updated.

Removing the protection from a copyrighted movie is still illegal in most countries no matter whether its from DVD or download.

Yes but you can make backups or change it to another media for your own use.

I always use backup CD and DVD in the car now since my car got broken into and my CD wallet was stolen 100 CD's gone.

It's cold cos its cheaper on play yes, but who cares about having the physical disk? You get far more 'backup' by purchasing it on iTunes, so you could re-download it as you so desire.

I hate DVDs, they're taking up far too much of my space.

It may be legal to make a backup of your DVDs but it's illegal to circumvent DVD protection which makes the first part moot.
