CM Storm Sirus 5.1 Surround Gaming Headset

• True 5.1 Surround Sound.

• On-The-Fly Rear, Centre, & Front speaker control for maximum sound customization.

• Interchangeable ear-cups for breathable audio and noise cancellation.

• Dual gold-plated USB Connectors for improved signal quality.

• Microphone with LED mute indicator.

got one the other day and this is far better than my analogue Tritton 5.1

might not work properly with usb and skype but in game is fantastic if you only want to use the headphones in 5.1 with usb or analogue. Info on websites does also suggest that team speak etc... might also be affected same as skipe. Anything else other than 5.1 with mic. on usb will properly both work well (4.0,2.0 etc...)

Something to do with their software (skype) CM said. You get the mic. working or the headphones working, a bit of a problem to make them working together, somehow today is OK (installed the w8.1 driver from their web site on w10 pro)

In analogue it is great but would have been useful with a proper sound controller (not supplied). Both headset and mic. do properly work in 5.1 from your sound card or onboard sound card.

Obviously we would not get it at this price if there was not any problems at all.

Very pleased at this price. Still a True 5.1 bargain and not rubbish surround

When you plug it in - do you hear nothing or some background noise? I have a pair of turtle beach something... came with a DSS surround sound adaptor. Was perfect on ps3 connecting via optical and usb. But on PC when I connect using USB or just the analogue cables I always hear background noises. So am put off...

I have a pair of wireless Bluetooth and they seem fine for gaming but would like something with surround sound.

Does it come with a driver for dolby LIVE so can get games to tell it where each sound is? or is it guessing?

How is it with movies as well as games?

Cannot hear a thing but I must say that yesterday yes as I was trying other drivers. If it will be the case you can just flip the mic. up (will shut it down) and every background noise will disappear, that was anyway at high volume, so nothing to worry about. No dolby
edit: just tested in analogue, no background noise at all, great in games and far better than my tritton analogue, I must assume that must be great for movies, my lower quality triton it is.

ah. that makes sense. so I might be hearing the background noise of the mic amplified. not sure if the headset I have from turtle beach has that cancellation effect whereas my Bluetooth ones should. so the ultimate headphones have noice cancellation for the mic and surround sound for the speakers! it's one of those things you never know if worth it until you get it and it changes your life.

It did yesterday with other drivers, today cannot hear a thing. So, nothing to do with the amplification, it was just a very low background sound that could be heard at very high volume only

General question? Are these type of headsets any good for watching movies on a PC, with regards the surround effect? Thanks.

Had two of these in the past. Both broke. Have fun wasting your money.

Should be decent.

Will they work with Xbox One? Through USB/optical or gamepad jack? Any experience?

Your statement might have some worth if you explained exactly how they broke. (_;)

Glady, the drivers themselves becoming crackly, clicking noises, muddy and cutting out. In other words F*CKED. Both headsets this happened to. Enjoy.
