£5 and 5x bulkier/heavier.

CnM were said to use refurbished hard drives in their 80Gb drives. 120Gb in Maplins now for £25.

Not really bulkier or heavier. This isn't a portable drive either.

How do you work that out? The weight difference will be measured in grams, and 3.5" hard drive is a standard size so i dont see why it would be much bulkier unless that manufacturer likes wasting money on giant oversized caddies.

Perhaps engage the old brain before sending nerve impulses to the old cake hole next time ey?

'in' a PS3 no, you just want a 2.5" laptop drive without enclosure.

If you want to plug it in externally then it will work, but you'll need to format to FAT32 (which can be harder than it sounds depending on what OS you are running).
