Good price but...

I bought the 80Gb one recently that was on HUKD. When it arrived, the usb cable - the bit that plugs into the drive - is a design I've never seen before, and it's not exactly secure or well-fitting on mine. The cable is one of the shortest I've ever seen - mine's about 20 inches. The plastic wrap around the hard drive went into the drive case itself and at some point I'll need to remove the HD cover and remove whatever plastic wrap is inside.

Other than that it's fine.

Is that what it is? Ta.

No thanks on swap as I've already passed it on to my son at uni.

You can get a 320GB laptop drive for the same price and then add a USB enclosure for a few quid.

My son has just shown me how fast this is. Nearly a hundred photos transfered from his camera to laptop - 4 minutes 30 seconds. Same amount transfered from laptop to this hard-drive...30 seconds!

Not bad at all IMO.
