Looks good if you need blu-ray

This is great. It is a Liteon DS4E1S in a caddy. I removed from the caddy and used in my HTPC.

Is BOX.CO.UK and SAVEONLAPTOPS.CO.UK the same company?
They have the same website layout and the same stock.

Dearer than last time, but it is still a good price. The drive is ok, but the lack of Bluray software is a bit disappointing. Any recommendation? 7dayshop had PowerDVD, but it was not quite clear whether Bluray support was included (and I certainly don't trust their descriptions...).

simplyacer.com and simplyasus.com are similar too.

I was about to order one, not sure about it now.

The part number is "CNMDVDRWSA". If you google it, you will find that others refer to this model as a DVD reader/writer without mentioning any BR capabilities. Confused...

Hmm, just a thought - can you use it as external drive on PS3? Be good answer if your internal drive failed...

No, this isn't a blu ray writer. DVD -r & +r are just different types of writeable discs.
