Asda alot cheaper than the co op so expensive
#16
Oh so it's sounds like we all shop at Co op!
Very over priced and the bigger stores are cheaper than smaller stores
#17

#23
good effort
#24
Thanks OP - all the cheap supermarkets (Asda, Aldi, Lidl) are miles away from me, so this is very helpful when coming home from work.
#25
Hot just for the effort OP and I'm kinda fond of the co op.
#26
Loads of co-ops in my area have closed and the ones that are left have had refits.
I still find out of date stock for sale most days i visit.
#27
skintgirl6 must be working for coop. The only good deal is port.

thanks op not everyone can get to asda or tesco so deals at local shops are invaluable. my local co-op is 5 mins walk away, has lovely staff and opens 7am to 10pm! if i have a list before i go i can generally get some good deals then top up when i can be bothered to drive 8 miles to asda through 200 sets of traffic lights and fight for a parking space. The co-op takes 15 mins asda 2 hours plus and petrol!

o'h also mince pies very good for a quid much better than value range asda/tesco ones!
#30
Well done. Have some Heat.

Thanks for the effort much appreciated - we have a few Co-ops close to us so can take a look, I know when these threads get posted there will always be comparisons with other supermarket chains - which is fair enough as it helps us find the bargains but not everywhere has the same supermarkets so it's good to see the choices :)

I use my 10% discount every day. works on everything in store. Just need your nus extra card which can be used with your co-op card (this gets you random offers - eg £1 off a £10 shop).

Fair enough but there are 3000 coop shops and 500 asda.

So like me you may may have 2 asda within 20 miles of my house against about 20 coops. I have to make a special trip to get to asda but I pass several coops every day. I don't waste time and petrol going to asda.

Are you capable of independent research?

If not, I'd give up your course.
#37
blatant marketing attempt. ridiculously over priced from a very poor retailer. COLD
#38
nice
#39
The salt and vinegar crisps reduced to a quid are the best I've ever tasted. They used to have them half price occasionally but not seen them this year so a quid ain't bad

And in my local Coop, they can scan them at any till. Insta-discount.

In the past I had to do the wait of shame whilst the cashier got up and rummaged around all the other till lanes until they found the discount card barcode - it was never at the till you were queuing at. It was mortifying getting the evils off the people behind me.
