Bought some at higher price for Christmas but amazingly it has not been drunk yet. Looking forward to trying this.

Yes very like Champagne but not made in Champagne! Haven't tried this one yet but I prefer Prosecco to Champagne as is not as dry

Really nice drink, thanks for the heads up. I think it tastes like the £6/7 Aldi version (which has a yellow/orange label too) and a lot easier to drink than most £15/£20 Champagnes. Might grab a case.

I suppose you can call it a cheaper version of Champagne. This is Italian whereas Champagne is French. Champagne is technically the superior product. The secondary fermentation is done in stainless steel tanks making it cheaper to produce than Champagne, I'm not an expert but I believe the secondary fermentation of Champagne is done in the bottle.
