Popped in on the way home from work.
It is "specially selected" for Morrisons. Looks like a bog standard Ruby to me, Lidls do one for £4.88, Morrisons £5 summat.
Until someone tastes it and compares it to others, I'm holding off.

You mean you wouldn't splash out on £5.95 to become chief taster for the greater good of HUKD'dom :-(

Ahhhhhhhhhhhh..... that never occured to me.
It's really my duty I suppose when you look at it like that?
Mebbe tomorrow.
I have a nice bottle in the garage that I could compare it to - not too far off Christmas to open it for comparison.....................

Our is not to wonder why, ours is just to do & die. / HUKD, God, Family in that order etc etc

I would take the bullet for us but working late shifts till Thursday & cant imagine the boss (or the police when I drive home) will support my selfless act.

I'll buy some tomorrow & keep it safe till Thursday evening :santa:.

Does anyone else have some yet?

Can't stand the stuff personally but price wise this seems very cheap!!!
#15
any reports on the quality?

TO THE REGIMENT, I WISH I WAS THERE

Cockburns is one of the best names for PORT so for £595 you can't really go wrong in my opinion.

Just done a taste test versus a Taylor's 2003 and yes the latter was the obvious winner but the Cockburns aint too bad. Gets my vote for the price and by the time you usually get to the Port who cares anyway?

Cockburn's.. name is funny enough :)

Sorry to say it, credit crunch. Am drinking the Cockburns ruby. Couldnt justify paying the extra £2 for the vintage 2003 lol.

The taste of Christmas....mmm!

It's probably the same stuff somerfield get around christmas that has a silver label and is some "special" variety, that stuff is OK, but not great.
