So be prepared to stock up on another favourite..

Similar item, You can get this for £1 @ Bodycare 220ML(Link is to another site that charges £1.99, I couldn't find a online address for Bodycare) Cold for me, Might not be made by Peruvian pigmy yak & cocoa farmers that get a fair wage but who cares as long as I'm getting it cheap.

we dont source our cocoa butter from peru. it's from Ghana. And guess what some people do care where it is from and this is what the offer is for.

You would prefer to see the economy die a slow death, rather than supporting community trade, which pays a fare wage and helps people who need it. I really think you should think about what you said then because it is quite harmful to those affected by CT including people as close as norfolk.

Ha Ha caught you out, Fat Cats get richer and the poor will always get S H * T on, Its part of nature/world we live in and spending more money on Cocoa butter won't make a difference, I leave saving the planet to Bono & Bob Geldof(Who could probably make a big dent in some small countries world debt with their millions):p

I've just woken up and yet somehow your posts have nearly sent me back to sleep again. I need to go read a good Apple vs Microsoft debate to liven myself up again...

Voted hot OP and disregard the fervid rants of other thoughtless posters. The body shop body butter is awesome stuff and of the absolute highest quality and you have the bonus that you're not screwing over people to get it.

Alot of people support fair trade and the business sustainability and improvements it gives to communities around the world, but there are many others who don't look at the big picture. Fair enough that some folk can't afford more than £1.99 for this kind of thing, but given that it's a luxury product anyway I don't mind paying a bit more for it. You could give this stuff for a gift and not feel cheap.

I mean if you're gonna spent £1.99 on something, you could get it much cheaper with some Tesco value hand cream, I mean it does the same thing doesn't it, and it'll only be about 20p.

Waitrose baby bottom butter is supposed to be good, so the wife says.

Bodyshop butter is great stuff which i buy anyway, and is concept built upon a good cause. Its an unfortunate fact that many good causes have to operate as a business...and hence make a profit, in order to make a difference, and at the end of the day why shouldn't they? Regardless of your intentions thanks very much for posting this i will most definitly be keeping an eye out for it at the weekend. Voted Hot!

Saw the Coconut Body Butter one already half price 2 weekends ago if that helps anyone... This was in Brent Cross...

I've tried some of the other cheapie cocoa butters and to be honest they aren't as good as the body shop stuff. You pay for quality as always.. so voted hot as the product is high quality and the price is good = value for money.
#20
yep voted hot! :-D

I've been using it, and really don't like the smell... I think I'd prefer the coconut one.

Had no idea it was that expensive though... just been using loads of the stuff my flatmate has knocking about... hah... gutted.

Way to go Spamdog. That sure is one way to make friends in the community.

That aside:

I have an embarrasing question though: Exactly what does this body butter do, I know its not meant to be for us men but do women like spreading butter on themselves?!

Your attitude is reprehensible and disgusting. You clearly have little interest in changing anything and little interest in actually learning how organisations like the Body Shop and Fair Trade actually make a huge difference even if it is fairly invisible to the consumer. And no, I have nothing to do with Body Shop as I don't really buy health and beauty products but it was such a shame to see the spectacle you were making of yourself with your immature comments.

Thats a great offer thanks I use this all the time. Will be getting down there next week.

hey kayote.

first things first, the butter is not just for women it has been used by men as well for a long time now. I personally being a bloke, use the satsuma body butter on a daily basis. The whole idea of the butter is to moisturise the skin and to retain natural moisture. It also protects the skin from daily baddies. e.g. wind rain etc.
The cocoa butter is specifically designed for dry skin, but if you don't have dry skin its fine if you want that extra moisture. It has CT cocoa butter from ghana and CT shea butter amongst others cant remember them all.
Thanks again everyone for standing up for this great product. Any other questions on this or other products drop me a line
