COD Black ops for @25.00 for both PS3/Xbox Woolworths

Well there seems to be a voucher going around for £20 off your first purchase at woolworths plus a free delivery voucher so works out at £25.

I got this off a cvg post by silversun_111 so props to him/her.

Do not use the link give. Woolworths Entertainment does not allow use of the codes. Use the standard woolworths.com site instead:

I suspect this deal is based purely on a credit agreement between the buyer and Woolworths.

Stay clear is my advice as I've personally had problems with such discounts.
Others say they've been successful, but personally I wouldn't touch these deals.
I got burnt by Littelwoods (direct) with a code, and yes I played by their "rules".

My 2 cents.

Be sure to show us your bank statement in 5 months time when maybe they charge you £20 for using a voucher not issued to you.

Didnt work for me, you must be lucky......
#15
When I used their £20 first-time buyer's discount code on that DS lite deal a while ago, I never got charged back for it.

But then, it was genuinely my first time shopping with any of the 3 companies online.

I can understand why poeple are wary of this type of offer that keeps croping up on this site. Most poeple are just sick of seeing them. I imagine everyone is now aware of this type of offer but it still gets posted regulary for some reason. I used it myself to buy a ps3 game last year as I had not used Littlewoods before. I was told on here that Littlewoods would reclaim the £20 back but to their credit they didn't so I was happy for doing it. Others may not have been so lucky but I just thought I would give my view on this.
#17
Cold, because they will check if they sent you a discount code.
#18
These deals would be better on HUKDs sister site: Hot UK Punts

Some people 'got lucky', many didn't and got burnt.
#19
I can get free delivery to work but not £20 off one never mind, if you use paypal to pay they cant reclaim it I think
#20
Was interested but won't bother now.

I would reply that quite a lot of people on this forum have mentioned that they have been stung in the past but you obviously can't read as otherwise you would already be aware of this having had over 1000 posts - and please feel free to note the umpteen other replies on this thread that also reflect what I stated - so I think its a fair assumption that I didn't just make it up... I haven't been stung because I am not stupid enough to try a punt on something that at best is probably 50/50 and would rather wait for a supermarket deal on this item that will probably be around the same sort of cost but without the hassle of paying £20 more a few months down the line....

Nice try at being self righteous but really pick a better fight next time.

just worked for me and paid by paypal.

why is this expired?

How will they check if the code was intended for you? If your someone who hasn't yet registered, they wouldn't have your details to send you the code.

Unless its just when you register with them they send you a code as a new customer?

And most people don't register unless they are gonna place a order, so once they've already ordered they wouldnt be able to use this code if its sent to them as supposedly its First Orders only.
#29
Well, I've taken a chance and I AM a new customer. I've paid through PayPal too. If all is ok I'll keep shopping with them but if they try to get the money back I won't buy from them again.
#30
on mse forum people have called CS and been told all orders will be cancelled as this code is only for use on very.co.uk not woolworths.

So, instead of answering in words of one sentence or less, you answered with a huge wall of text, that said "Well, that's what everyone says, so I am saying it too".

Bravo.

Guys... Recieved call from Woolworths today saying that they could not process my order after i had recieved email confirmation. They said they could re-order it but it would be at the full price of £45. Once i have recieved the item, they told me to ring up to get £20 put back onto account!

Never have I used words of one sentence or less - that wouldn't make any sense now would it and again you are making a tool of yourself, however I appreciate you are struggling with the concept of english language as its obviously not your mother tongue so I won't judge you on that further, but really, learn to read, take in a few comments from people here n there on this website and you may expand your mind and actually learn something.

I will leave you to your puddle of worms n mud now. Enjoy.

P.S I hope you got someone to read this and explain it to you from the start of the thread as you don't quite seem to grasp what I was trying to say and I really cannot be bothered to say it again.

Where Is The Code?
#37
Turned up this morning, from Woolworths

Many thanks :)
#38
:( i had a e-mail to say my order had been canceled and i would get a refund. this was on the 4/11/10 and it could take anything up to 14days to be credited :(
#39
My order has been rejected; however if you have paid through Paypal and payment has been taken from your account Woolworths have legally bought into a contract. This is legally binding and is the reason why companies such as Amazon do not take payment until they dispatch the item. We should all press Woolworths on this as they are not complying with the Sales of Good Act 1979 (chapter 54 to be exact).

As soon as payment is taken they have accepted the contract with you as the buyer and they have to deliver.0844 822 1010 is their number, opt 2 then opt 2.

I had used a similar code as mentioned by another member and had my order cancelled..

They cancel using the comments "We have cancelled your order in accordance with clause 2.3 of our terms and conditions."

I was advised that a refund had been done the 04.11.10 and would take 7-10 days ... and uptil this date i am still waiting so i have threatened to take them to the trading standards and have now been advised the refund should be clear by the end of the day..

All i can say it my refund better be here tomorrow and Woolworths won't be getting anymore of my hard earned cash... EVER!!
