Gonna get warm in here!

Do people not think this will be cheaper close to release? 10th November is a long way away yet.
#4
retail price is £54.99 so I really doubt it will go cheaper before release
#5
Well Asda took 46% off RRP for World At War, if they or someone does something similar for this then it will be around the £30 mark...
#6
Thanks!
Covering all my bases . . . if its cheaper at release, Argos will match or refund.
Bought 2 for PS3 LAN play at home - nice price now with this . . . . . . . .

Have you ever seen a game retail for this? I don't think even Harrods would charge that?
#12
good deal, do they take the money off right now though or just before they send it?

#14
seems like a good deal , prob retail at £29.99 after a few weeks of release , so for an extra fiver you get to have it early , hot for me

#17

I'm going to guess at a lot closer to the £80 to £100 range.
#22
US version will cost $149.99 according to Infinity Ward

#23
as a lot of people have said on g4tv they probably wont be fully functioning as theyre WELL EXPENSIVE! i might treat myself to the special edition or some kind of edition as long as i get something fancy for ingame
#24
Shame there's no pre order available for the PC version :x
#25
Good price for the game , the goggles wont work very well thoug , ive used sub £1000 nvg's before and they were eye killers.
#26
The goggles come with LEDs...cheap rubbish.

them tosh developers aren't even on the same planet as infinity ward in terms of quality
#28
Voted hot, i think that the best price on release day will be around £35 but that prestige pack looks very cool, even though it has the night-vision goggles which most people will try on once then throw them in a cupboard, not sure weather to go for this one or not, i know with other retailers you can cancel pre orders but does Argos offer that aswell ?

I don't think Asda look at who developed a game..fact is that game was gonna be the biggest seller on release anyway.

Spot on...

Also if i was being picky i would ask why "Call of Duty" in the title of this thread, as they have dropped that name for Modern Warfare 2.

Look how long COD4 was still at full price. It was full price until only a few months ago (COD5 was cheaper than COD4) - purely because COD4 was a better game.

This MW2 will smash COD 4 records & still be full RRP for a long time

Or it could have been down to the price the publishers were charging when selling them to the shops

Gamestation did drop the price of COD4 down to £19.99 for a week or so a couple of weeks after release, but this is still a good price, and I will be ordering from Argos as I don't want to wait a couple of weeks to see if it does go down in price.

They have put it back in now :)

Just to confuse things further, 'Call Of Duty' does not appear on the Steelbook edition of the game, only the standard one. :-D
#37
just ordered this and fifa 10, great deal, works out at £32 each :)

Bought COD 5 for £26.99 from Asda on release date last year... as this is one of the biggest titles of the year, I think this to will result in a supermarket price war... I'm gonna take the risk and wait, unless it hits £30 preorder, then I'll order it
#40
Hang around, you'll be able to pre-order this for around the £30 mark elsewhere and from sites that don't take your money and make interest on it until they send your game out. Cold.
