Did not work on the mens shirts

Its been working since Friday. And I got mine this morning. So if you're quick, yes.
#4
Works for me!

But much like all shirt makers they never actually sell for £79 each
#5
code worked for me , just ordered a shirt for my wife , hone they will honour the transcation
#6
£20-£25 is the usual discounted price, so a good deal but not as good as it might appear.

Agreed, though you dont normally get to apply the 10 or 20% discount AND free shipping.

Sorry, have edited my post. I was being a numpty.
#10
Thanks for this, works a treat!!!
#11
Thanks, just ordered four for £80 with free next day delivery.
#12
In the Clearance section there are 3 pages of £79 shirts reduced to £19.

Don't seem to be on quidco anymore either...not posh enough for 'em?

Seriouly though if there's any truth in this then we certainly should not be buying...but like most thing..what is the truth in this case?
#15
just ordered mine.......................thanks....voted hot
#16
Looks like quite a good offer.

Just placed an order, 3 shirts for £60.00, with free next delivery.

There seems to be 10% cashback through Quidco as well, although it has not been validate yet. Perhaps its a bit too early for that.

Voted hot.
#17
I just bought 8 and the code only seemed to bring them down to £25 - but still a good deal
#18
none in my size:cry:
but a hot deal nonetheless!
hope they get some new stock online ASAP!
H&R to OP
#19
Have a few of these shirts, great quality and definetly worth it for £20!!
#20
I voted hot as it worked on any shirt I tried, and the 10% Quidco means a good quality shirt for £18.
#21
Thought 20 quid was about the norm with tm lewin, I've never paid £79 in one of their stores.

the code didnt get the price to £25, thats one of there deals. if you buy 4 shirts you get it for £100.
#23
this isn't really a deal... you can walk into their stores and get their shirts (even luxury) for this price or less....
#24
They are normally on offer around this price so warm on the deal. As others said, don't get excited about £79 down to £20, it's not a mis-price.

Not a big fan of TM Lewin shirts - I've had several that wash and iron really badly and the collar always seems tight. After 3 or 4 wears they looked ready for the bin. Much prefer Van Heusen, much better quality and wash and iron like a dream. Or M&S even.
#25
Sorted, thanks! Need some new shirts!
#26
I get all my work shirts through TM Lewin, and I've gotta say they do wash and wear well, and they do have a lot of choice of styles and fabrics. If you're unhappy with anything you can always send it back for upto 3 months after you bought it for a no quibble refund.

Whilst the `full retail` price is a bit misleading, and the fact that the shirts are always heavily `discounted`, I think that this is a nice little deal, especially as you can still get 10% cashback if you go through Quidco.

Nice one, OP!
#27
they often do shirts for this price, so although its a good deal its not 'exceptional' or really a technical blunder on their part.

I still prefer M&S shirts.

Where? Less than £20?
#29
Next shirts FTW.
#30
this is not a deal, this is normal price.

I've never known anyone to pay what is claimed to be rrp.

Has the OP just posted his referal code?? Lots of people at work also do this. Get their friends and family to buy stuff using their "special code" so that TM Lewin give them a free shirt for every 9 shirts sold.

There's certainly no truth in the bit that reads:

...Tm Lewin added: "We are committed to recruiting local people."

Every tm lewin store I've been to is staffed almost exclusively by eastern europeans.

At least that means you get friendly, attentive customer services though :)
#32
So why are these shirts worth £20, let alone £79? Other than stroking the wearer's ego what do they really offer that a decent chainstore one doesn't? Seems to me they are worth £20 max and the marketing ploy is the claimed rrp.

I thought the 'designer brand' nonsense would die in this recession but apparently not.

Don't believe everything you read in the papers....or The Mirror.

Not relevant to the deal anyway.

Well said!

Primark FTW!!! £2.91 shirts can't be beat! ;)
#36
thanks all worked perfectly

Hmm, just wanted to add, from the site:

"However, if you should purchase an item from us that you are not entirely satisfied with, our 3 month No Quibble Guarantee means you may return it to us within the first three months of purchase for a refund or an exchange."

So, could you not buy one shirt after 3 months return it for a refund and buy another? Then repeat?! :)
#38
You can order these shirts specifying both collar and sleeve length (and sometimes single or double cuff) - you can't say that about Matalan/Peacocks etc. They are good quality 'for best' shirts so £20 ain't too bad. Heat from me.

I don't think TM should be viewed as a 'designer' brand - it's not as if it has a logo all over the place like some D&G shirts or something.

Agreed everyone knows the £79 price is a myth and anyone who has ever paid this either doesn't know how TM lewin works / was unlucky / desperate.

Simple fact of the matter is they are decent shirts for work - they last ages and wash and wear well, nothing more nothing less. I still have shirts I regularly wear which are over 6 years old that are totally fine in every way - many cheaper shirts would start to wear on collars and cuffs or fade.

Also, the fit is often better - being able to choose a slightly shorter or longer sleeve, getting slim fit that's tapered in, different collars etc.

Not an amazing deal as it's always this kind of deal, but for £20 for a TM shirt you can't go wrong - Next shirts can't be too far off this and they are total trash in comparison.

Now if it was £20 for a CT Sea Island shirt that would be a corker ;-)

That was the reason for the "what is the truth" question.
.....and the rest are my personal views..something which everyone seems keen on expressing on this forum I note...just wanting to be an active member :whistling:

PS I actually thought the deal was a good one
