Both are 1080 (Full HD), if you need 4K look elsewhere with more money. ;)

Vestel rebadge. £55-75 more for version with 4K panel. Not saying this info makes it hot or cold but just pointing out if anyone is considering paying £230 for a bottom of the range full HD tv surely might as well pay £300 for bottom of the range 4K?

I really don't get the urge to buy a 4k TV when there is nothing* to watch.
*Yes, I am aware of the fact that there are 4k videos out there though for the majority of people there is nothing to watch. I'd rather 'see' some more 1080p broadcast programmes to make use of the technology we have already though since everyone here seems happy to berate anything not 4k I'll get my coat. ;)

I didn't say you did though why spend more money buying a 4k TV when the best broadcast TV we typically have is 720p?

I was just pointing out that there is a narrow gap at the bottom end of the market between the cheapest Full HD and the cheapest Ultra HD sets, all other specs being roughly equal. This I am certain is useful information. For what it's worth I think you are a little out, we've been watching shows, movies, sports in 1080p for a very long time on our 2007 Panasonic, the vast majority of content is now available in full HD and gradually 4K too. Watching the football ARSvCHE right now in 4K in fact. Amazing that it can be piped down the phone line considering we were on dial-up still less than 20 years ago.

Depends unless you have a number of 4k feeds now the picture on SD & HD may well be better on the non-4k version; I doubt the upscaling on the 4k version will be any good.

I guess they would need to be viewed side-by-side to answer that one.

Non smart version still available for £224. There's also a Blaupunkt 49er for the same £224 which is quite possibly the same Vestel set behind the badge.
This information was lost on my elderly neighbour who maintained he didn't want a Bush. :)

few people percentage wise have 4k feeds so your comment makes no sense. 1080p is fine for a number of years yet; stop giving out misleading advice.
4k only worth it on better TVs where you already have 4k sources; 4k feeds are expensive so not for everyone....
For the price is does'nt matter if this TV is not 4k.

Only a brainless person will waste £224 on old garbage. Throwing good money down the drain.

£224 is hardly a great amount to be paying for a 49inch TV. I suspect the majority of people using it wouldn't notice if it was 720, 1080 or 4k at typical view distance, especially if they're watching free pirated streams via their £25 Bangood Kodi android box. X)

You are far too gullible. 4k & HDR standards are still evolving and many people don't have 4k feeds. Marketeers love people like you.

Please ignore this guys 'advice' as he's too biast.
