Pity their latest albums sucks bad
Although violet hill and viva la vida are gems

£4 for an old CD isn't that good a price. Putting aside I don't like their old material I'd still vote cold.

£2.99 and you might be on to something.

Rush of blood to the head was £2.99 on play a couple of weeks ago.

No wonder the music companies aren’t making much money when their premium back catalogue CDs are selling for £4 and people still think it’s too expensive!
I used to pay £3 for an album 30 years ago regardless of whether it was new or back catalogue. I know illegal downloading has impacted sales but their pricing model looks amiss.

if an albums decent and its £5 or less thats a bargain
that guy above it just stingy

Thats the good thing about physical media the 'sales' are actually good. Clears stock for more room in the warehouse, shop etc - something that you will never get with digital downloads as it sits there on a hard drive connected to a server that takes up minimum amount of room.

Not at all, I spend a ton on CDs. I usually pay full price and pre-order them.

I recently bought The Strokes back catalogue for £4.99 each. They didn't sell as well as Coldplay and I know this might sound a bit wrong but popular CDs tend to lose their value quicker.

Wait till the hype of the new album dies down and they'll probably go down to £2.99, I'm sure I've seen X and Y for £2.99 before on play.

Ive only ever pre-order one cd and that was james blunts back to bedlam and that was before i heard your beautiful it was "no bravery" that sold me it

Talking of digital downloads ive only bought 2 albums off itunes - james mayers continuum and the kinks best of
the one thing i hate is they are stuck on my pc and never look as good as a cd
