Great deal. Like you just received the 2 man tent but just processed a return and exchange for this which Amazon did immediately. Brilliant.

Seems to be a lot of tents on here today.

Fantastic tent! Light weight, spacious and easy to erect. I bought one a few years ago and it has survived many hikes, stag do's and family weekenders. Absolutely well worth £50!

Better deal than the cobra 2 IMO. Way more space and you can actually sit up in this. Price now £53

Price seems to be fluctuating a little but still a good deal.
I can't decide whether to cancel the Cobra 2 I ordered for my daughter or not - 2.9kg is a little heavy for a backpacking tent (the Cobra 2 is only 2.2kg).

It's going to get mixed use - sometimes just her as a Guide leader (so the extra weight wouldn't be a problem as they get a lift to the campsite, but the Cobra 2 should be big enough anyway) and sometimes backpacking with her partner (where the extra space would be useful but the extra weight would matter).

EDIT: Cotswold also have the Vango Soul 200/300 which cost about the same and weigh about the same - might go and have a look in the local branch before making a final decision...

If weight is important you might consider this https://www.amazon.co.uk/Jack-Wolfskin-Gossamer-Tent-N-/dp/B003DOSA5M/ref=sr_1_10?ie=UTF8&qid=1473162731&sr=8-10&keywords=1+man+tent
It costs a little more, but weighing in at 1.5kg I doubt you'll find better in terms of quality/size/price/weight. There are more reviews on Amazon.de, where the Jack Wolfskin brand is held in fairly high regard, but price is currently best at amazon.co.uk.

Waterproof?

3000mm flysheet, 5000mm groundsheet and lots of good reviews, including the following comments:

"we had two torrential downpours on our last weekend away and there were no leaks"
"I have used this in a couple of rain storms and its kept me dry"
"withstood torrential downpour the whole weekend"
