It might be a good price, but these are really not very practical as there are ropes in the way, so you can't sit close and if you do you might well end up falling over the ropes. Might be of use to some people though.

You can successfully erect them with the ropes at just about a foot away from the base of the windbreak. I have 3 of (similar) these to create a nice 3-sided shelter for my regular camping trips.

I bought extra guy ropes (from Poundland) so I can secure it in both directions; most of these only come with ropes to secure it on one side with instructions to fix it according to the wind. The extra guys give better flexibility and allow shorter distances as warned by the previous poster.

You often see lots of poor reviews of these shelters, but they tend to be from people with limited basic camping skills.

That's what i'm saying, people don't realise these need careful setup. Not like the ones you just bang a pole into the ground and job done.

I'll give it a go- will be nice to not break my hand with an errant mallet blow for once.
