I purchased this a few days ago and it was absolute tripe, definitely won't purchase again.

My dentist recommends only Listerine or Corsodyl... all others are tripe... OR he's on commission! oO

Colgate Plax is NOT clinically proven. It is clinically tested (and who knows what the results were..), an entirely different matter.

Only Corsodyl is clinically proven...

I tried listerine and it hurt my mouth and tongue. I'm a bit concerned about the level of alcohol in Listerine. How do you measure how affective a mouthwash is?

This stuff is absolute rubbish. Saw it in tesco and thought id give it a try but it's not even worth a quid. No idea how it can claim to remove stains, I didn't notice a jot of difference.

I'll stick to listerine. It's a bit more expensive but you can actualy feel the strength of it and since I started using it 5 years ago I've not had to have a single bit of dentist work done since.

Of the products I have tried the only one I recall to have made my teeth appear whiter is Colgate Plax. I have no opinion on which mouthwash disinfects the mouth best.

I'm afraid theres very little chance a mouthwash can whiten your teeth (or even clean them for that matter). It's far more important to brush the teeth properly twice a day and also floss if possible. Mouth wash is good to freshen the breath, and i would always recommend going for a mouthwash with a high fluoride content (prevents decay) and minimal alcohol (drys out your mouth).
