Seems more likely that the issue is with the sensitivity of your gums rather than the toothpaste.

No because it doesn't do it with the proper colgate toothpaste from the supermarkets this stuff is made for the south African market.. because I rang Colgate themselves it's all these cheap shops selling it like b&m and pound stretcher and pound worlds ..

Just change your nationality to South African, get a new passport, carjack a nearby car & go free Nelsen Mandela whilst chanting and bashing a tambourine and then I recon your teeth will be ok using this stuff! Oh.. Voted hot btw!

Could this be the chilli edition of Colgate?

There seem to be a flood of Chinese and South African imported Colgate products in these 99p/Pound shops.

As much as I like a bargain, this is NOT like for like. I would prefer a product that was intended for the European market.

Cold, in my opinion.

Just dubiously tried this out as have never heard of all these complaints before & was ready to throw the toothpaste away after reading.
Tasted absolutely fine in my opinion. No burning of gums or nasty aftertaste!!!

Hi there,

I work for a TV production company called Screen Channel TV who are making a BBC consumer affairs programme. I'm looking at the issue of possible counterfeit toothpastes at the moment and would be very interested to hear from mummytoharry2013 about your experiences with what you suspect to have been fake Colgate, or from anyone else who's had similar experiences. My email is - [email protected] Many thanks.
