Colin McRae Dirt 2 PS3 In Store Sainsbury's £19.99

Found this in Store In DERBY City Centre, had 1 left, maybe others up and down the country?

Nothing online that I can see.

They also had Resident Evil 5 Xbox 360 for £12 which isn't a bad price

Brilliant price. I'm hoping my local has it in for this price. Heat added.

Youre in for a long wait then!

Just popped into my local and they didn't have any. I'm well gutted.

Woefully bad games, have very little to do with Colin or rallying anymore.....

yeah heard similar which put me off. I think it's more akin to over the top Motorstorm type event style as opposed to rallying!

No split screen modes in this game like the original colin mcrae games. Used to have a great laugh playing split screen racing games but playing on your own or via online mode with ransoms is boring

Sadly people still buy it though. I don't mind that there's non rallying stuff in there but when you're forced to drive trucks or buggies in a stadium to progress through your career where for some reason although it's call Colin McRae the game seems to be American with Travis Pastrana doing some voiceovers and with an American codriver as well. They've basically just gone for the American market where there's a lot of money to be made in producing a game that flatters the non-existent driving skills of the average gamer.

this is gonna get hot... real hot

to all the fools saying it has nothing to do with colin mcrae it was named that purely in a sign of respect towards him and his family

What? It was named that because the game is a successful rallying game francise and the name itself sells millions of copies.

Initially. I was of the same opinion regarding tuning the game for the states market as opposed to WRC of which I am a massive fan. I did it purchase from Steam on pc though and have been playing it for the last few weeks. I must say it is rather addictive and I am enjoying it. I also purchased a 360 controller for windows to use it with. The cars are more controllable now. The graphics are excellent.

Finally! HEAT!
#17
I agree in the respect that, this latest installment has lost alot of the actual rallying that was present in the previous games. But there's no denying this game is outstanding as a racer.

yes it was, DIRT 1 was name colin macrae.

they kept the name the same after he died as a mark of respect,
it was gonna be just DIRT2.

and by the way the DIRT was not meant to be like the old colin mcrae rally games, its why it got a different name and the COLIN MACRAE RALLY(franchise) didnt stay as it was heading in a new direction and wasnt a sequal as such.

RIP Colin and son

Yeah and his friend and son too.

I was at the Race of Champions in 2007 and by god it was sad but it was a nice celebration of his life and it was great to see his Impreza do a lap and then be kept out on the track for the race of champions segment. A great tribute to the man.

Very drunk in an Irish pub in Perth singing The Gambler by Kenny Rogers back in 2005 after narrowly missing out on a good result in the Fabia :D

P.S He wasn't a great singer!

I can confirm that I got Resident Evil 5 for PS3 for £12 in sainsburys last weekend.

This game is brilliant. I'm not a fan of massively realistic driving games like Gran Turismo, had so much fun playing this on rental and have been waiting for it to come down in price for a while.

Xbox 360 version has been down in price for ages, frustratingly not the PS3 version, until now!

A game that cars actually get damaged in when they hit walls at 200mph perhaps....?

To be fair i think the fact this has always been an oversight (even in GT5P i believe) they are saying it will be in the final game..... when ever that's released. Hopefully before the PS10 hits the stores!

Depends on what you class as realism. In reality, the last thing you would want to do is hit someone/thing else (unless its banger racing). I agree that those games are more fun though.

I have a G25 and Playseat and cana't wait for GT5, lets hope it's good.

It's not about whether you'd want to do it in real life or not, but to be realistic, there needs to be damage if you accidently plough into a wall at 200 mph or other cars of course. If not, people will just ram other drivers in corners to get an advantage without any penalty to themselves... that's not realistic.

As for the game, yeah it will hopefully be amazing and if it lives up to the potential i will be buying it like millions of others.
