What? So we should remove all (new and old) Michael Jackson albums from the shelves because his name's on it? I think using Colin's name is a good tribute.

But the number of people who where amazed to find out he's a real persion when they heard he'd died was hilarious. Maybe in England they should market it as Rcihard Burns Dirt?

it is, but will it be decent enough though ?

yeah i dont see point of having his name on a game now.

and had no idea the yanks aint heard of him. I am not into rally driving or whatever he did and i've heard of him.

Dont think it matters a blind bit hes passed away. The series has carried his name for years. And his name has been connected with all the best rally games ever made on any format. So why lose the name and licence. He was a very succesfull rally driver.

The yanks would'nt know any rally driver names, its not something they follow with any interest......

Cant see this been any good on Wii like.

Should have left the series at the PS1 then, they have ruined the physics ever since making it a carp game (120-0 in a Punto in 10 feet, and turning on a dime at 70mph on gravel?!?!?) Then again, old Col lost his mojo long before his death... so I suppose it is a tribute :whistling:

There's a link to codemasters site, on colinmcrae.com, run by his family I believe.

"We are constantly looking for new ways to promote our cause and Goodwood was no exception. We launched several new branded products like mugs, umbrellas, beanie hats and a fantastic new lightweight waterproof jacket. As if that wasn’t enough, we had a world premiere of a stage from the new Colin McRae Dirt 2 game."

"In the aftermath of the tragic helicopter accident in September 2007, and the incredible response from the public via phone calls, letters, e-mails and at the Memorial Service in Lanark, the McRae family decided that it might be possible to utilise the profile of Colin’s name and achievements to raise funds for charitable and worthwhile causes."

By losing his mojo, you mean moving to Citroen and Skoda? His results wern't that bad considering.
He had a 7th place for Skoda only 2 years before he died and was fastest at some points of the Dakar.

He was kinda the Lewis Hamilton of Rally... adored when he was winning, slated when he wasn't. Suppose thats the fickle nature of motorsport?

Its the fickle nature of the public eye, people almost told what to think by the media, with reputations made and destroyed with the printed (or emailed) word.

yeah but now the "franchise" has been sold to the yanks, hence the inclusion of numerous cack that is called racing over there, plus the tiresome "hell yeah" yank commentary

There was a Richard Burns game a few years ago. And he's dead too.
