Colin Mcrae: Dirt £7.03 incl delivery

Just found this on a new Colin Mcrae website - already have Dirt2, apparently the first game has a bit more 'traditional' rally - at £5 for a PS3 game, it is worth a punt.
Just ordered it - exactly £2.03 postage

First post - don't think this has been posted before...

Fanatec 911 Turbo S with Club Sport pedals (Not cheap mind!) but works with PC, PS3 and Xbox 360.
Should mate nicely to a VR3....

Or if that's too much, a Logitech G25!

PC or PS3 the logitech G25 is great, i have seen as low as £100 but do not have time to look too hard.

on xbox 360 unless you are minted and can afford the multiformat fanatec porsche racing wheel, then the official wireless racing wheel is the only one to consider. (fanatec wheel also works on pc and ps3)

Are you mad? Dirt 2 is the biggest pile of crap to ever come out of the Codemasters studios.

Great deal, cheers OP!

Have to agree with you. I haven't played the full game but the steering lag I've experienced in demo is just plain AWFUL.

There are! If you click on the Dirt game, there's a drop down where you can choose which console you want to buy for..

Good luck

Thanks for that guys, on the look out now for a G25 but being true to this site will wait for a hot deal ;-).

only dirt 2 for wii left?
#32
oops - looks like we've cleared them out!
So, in 'Hotukdeals' world, should I go back and chnage to 'expired' until back in stock?
- still a newbie!

Dirt 1 is an excellent game. The cars handle extremely well and can be tweaked further if you wish. You feel that you are really involved in the WRC. Some of the stages even look very similar to the Rally GB stages from the Epynt area of Mid Wales. When I first got the game in 2007 I was amazed by the graphics. They are still good today. Dirt 2 is different. It has definitely had the American treatment with fireworks being set off at the end of the stage. The handling of the car in the Dirt 2 demo is very tail happy and there are no adjustments to change this. The game is now only for the pick up and go casual racer. Codemasters were critisised for Dirt 1 because the cars had too much friction on the track. Unfortunately they seem to have over compensated for this in Dirt . The vehicles handle in a very unprecise and lose way and the crashes are totally unrealistic flying miles in the air even by Colin standards. There is also far less rally stage action and more American multi car races, so not so much fun for the European rally fan. The good points of Dirt 2 are the water effects and the general graphics are sharper than Dirt 1. Also you can catch or be caught up by other vehicles on the stage which make things more realistic. Finally I just wish to say that Colin Mcrae was my hero. I have never seen anyone with a more sideways and spectacular driving style. What a crowd pleaser. Thank you Colin for the memories.

Mmmm, exactly why I just came back to this thread - I ordered it on PS3 and no sign of it yet, no dispatch email, yet they've happily taken the payment (checked with my credit card). I know there is Christmas post to delay matters, and not all retailers send dispatch emails, but I have that slightly sinking feeling about this one.............

I've just emailed them and will see if I get a response. There is no phone number on the website, but a search for the website operator Motu25 brings up 0141 764 2118 if anyone fancies calling?
#36
Bit of an update, I got a response to my email:

Hi,

Please can you confirm your order number. We had a huge influx of orders and have been unable to fulfil all of these. We are in the process of refunding those customers who have been unsuccessful.

Regards

I've emailed my order number back but I suspect they took a load of orders with about 3 copies of it in stock!!! P*** poor in this day and age - stock control stops orders being taken once stock reduces to nil - how hard can it be???
#37
Update - my order has been cancelled and card being refunded. They say they didn't have stock to fulfil the orders that arrived. Is it Sooooo hard in this day and age to put stock limits on e-commerce systems so it throws up an 'out of stock' message once they have taken as many orders as they have stock for???:x
#38
Ive called them up and my oreder was fulfilled. They did mention that some people wher ordering 70 copies.. .... but it was first come basis.
#39
i ordered a ps3 and 360 copy, both cancelled :(

why the hell would they let people order 70 copies, its blatant profiteering...and off a charity no less!!!!
