£24.99 less 11% Quidco @ GAME.co.uk

Seems good price for this game. Next best £32.49

Codemasters Studios are back with a totally reinvigorated McRae experience for the first time on PlayStation 3. Colin McRae: DiRT will go beyond the series point-to-point rallying to deliver the most diverse selection of extreme off-road competitions ever. Sensational gravel, mud and dirt racing events from the world over will include perilous Hill Climb and collision-packed Rally Cross events.

International rallying competitions will also feature, with official cars on tracks based on real roads and locations around the globe. Colin McRae: DiRT will also expand on beat-the-clock racing and include events with multiple cars on track to satisfy anyone who wants to push their on-the-edge driving and rallying ability just that bit further.

With official cars and official events across a wide variety of off-road and rally disciplines, the most authentic and thrilling tracks ever in a McRae game, modes that make the most of online multiplayer through the PS3's PlayStation Network and the series trademark intuitive car handling system tuned to perfection, Colin McRae Rally: DiRT is the best game yet in codemaster's long-running rally franchise.

Any reason why people are voting this cold?

Its an excellent game and I've not been able to find it cheaper via froogle, uk.gamestracker.com or find-games.co.uk?

I had it on the 360 and loved it!

Voted hot for me!

As above, hotted it up a bit :)

Can get better games for this price. But if you want this then its good price
#6
A) thats not the idea, that's the cheapest price for that title (by a good margin)
B) What decent £25 PS3 games are there brand new? (not 2nd handers)
#7
Nice, voted hot - and just ordered. Thank you minxeater :)

Been searching the local shops for a copy of DiRT and couldn't find it.

I had this for the 360 and it really is a good game, lots of fun, co driver is a little irritating though "Smooth and steady; I'm Mr. Smooth and your Mr. Steady"

Dirt came out first for the X360, but it wasn't ported. It was designed from the ground up for the PS3, which is one of the reasons why the PS3 version came out to be better according to many game reviewers.

One of the top three racers alongside Burnout (also improved) and Motorstorm.

It was made from the ground up for the 360, the PS3 was a port of the 360 version which is why it came out later. It's still a good game on the PS3 but if you want the definative version buy it on 360. I know cause I worked on the team that made it. :)

are you sure you really worked on BOTH versions?

"One of the big complaints about DiRT on the 360 and PC was that it simply didn't perform very well. The PC version looked choppy on a near-constant basis, and the 360 version had a tendency to tank pretty badly during multicar races. On the other hand, the PlayStation 3 version is nearly flawless in this regard."

If you put the 3 versions along side each other you will notice that the PS3 version has a lot of stuff stripped out to address the frame rate issues and the ps3's inferior graphics card and limited memory. We were pushing the 360 to it's limits at the time, all the lighting, damage and other effects unfortunatley did have an impact on framerate on multi-car races on the 360 :(

okay so if you want a game that looks a bit better than get the xbox version. if you want a game which runs smoother, faster loading times and has better sound get the ps3 version. hmm.. for a driving game i wonder which is more important.

I have this game on the 360 and the graphics are the best I have ever seen for a racign game. In fact, its tremendous fun to play, really good game.

Ive got Forza and PGR4. Colin McRae is definitely the best rally game out there and it looks bloody brilliant.

Only downer is that its 1 player. Hence the excellent graphics. You can race people on LIVE though.

Highly, highly recommended.

Why must you always bring up the 360? Do you regret your purchase or something? This is a deal for a ps3 game. Who cares how it plays on the 360? I got this on the 360 as it came out earlier. The PS3 version came out later otherwise I may have got that instead.

You're such a fanboy you could probably defend Konami and EA for PES 2008, Skate and Orange Box on the PS3 and say say they're better than their 360 counterparts.

Grow up.

The difference between these two versions isn't as big as the games I've mentioned above. Skate and PES 2008 have terrible framerate issues on the PS3. I should know I've had them both. Pes it was so bad I sold it. Though I still have Skate...

Ok well thanks to everyone replying

I went instore and its £29.99 instore, so if you don't wanna wait 2-3 days for the game spend an extra £4.99 instore

sorry, i don't get it: you tell sparc to grow up for bringing up comparisons (related to this game) and you end up by bringing in TWO NEW comparisons (that aren't even related to this game). your views are generally balanced but the comment you just made is a bit hypocritical. sparc's comment was probably irrelevent but yours was even more irrelevent (pes, skate etc - what have they got to do with this deal?) and hardly non-fanboy.

I do agree that the second part of my post was a bit off topic, but sparc loves to bash the 360 in either 360 or ps3 threads. I didn't bring up the comparisons between the two formats games, I just feel that there were some really stupid one sided posts in this thread that needed to be addressed. I want to see if Sparc can defend those shortcoming of his loving ps3.
Though, I probs shouldn't have come down to that level.

My point still stands.

So is this worth the £25? I only have ridge Racer and didnt think much of it.
