i have something which looks exactly the same. The make of mine is youngmans and was bought from costco a few years back. Its superb, used it the other day to plaster the ceiling. you can set it so that it can be a table which a plank can be placed across to stand on. It also folds down to a point that it can fit in my golf mk iv boot. Highly recommended bit of kit.

should say, i had another plasterer round who normally uses 2 ladders and a plank for his platform and he was so taken with my ajustable ladders that he is going to go buy this from woolies.

Hope this helps anyone thats undicided

I got one of these from Costco a few years ago, I'm sure they are pretty cheap there too.

Excellent for hiding under the bed or storing in a small space.

The only problem I have is when you use it as a platform, I always think the joints will fail even though they have so far not even looked like they will.

Looking at the rubber feet on the left hand side to the ones on the right, are they on upside down? :p :giggle:

Excellent post OP - Have just ordered myself a pair.

Have had one for 5+ years now, very useful and stable....although you will need a plank to lay across the rungs if you want to use it as a platform. Mine lives outside in all weathers and hasn't deteriorated at all. My only criticism would be the width of the stabiliser supports, they make it too wide to use up the stairs, but the stabilisers can be removed, so that's how I get round it.

Cheers

They are removeable and interchangeable, they would be on the right way round in the piccy if the ladder was fully extended out to lean up a wall or sommat.

Hi all, Is this the same ladder as advertised on those shopping channels as the ultimate ladder? To me looks exactly the same though not sure? here is a link to the ultimate, maybe someone who has one can say if its the same. Has a great video on its uses , site also sells the extras save using planks

Yeah it's virtually the same, got mine from In-Excess (down south store) a year or 2 ago, West End store still ahs them. Paid £49-99 for mine and it came with 2 metal platform slats to run across for the platform shape. Brilliant bit of kit and HIGHLY recommended..

My dad brought one of these when it was £100 plus and thinks it's great.

I think the Woolworths one comes with platforms already. Curious what the difference between the Woolies on and, say, a Youngman is?

Woolies webswite now showing 'not currently available' :-(

These ladders are a great bit of kit, I work for woolworths and purchased one of these just after xmas, They do come with platforms and the wide feet on the bottom can be removed if need! great for loft access and painting walls etc.. These are mostly in stock at most stores! I know i have around 5 left in Woolworths in Ledbury

Hi guys

I bought this ladder instore @ woolworths just after christmas. Its quite hard to open - the catches are a bad design and very hard to get your fingers under. Also the platic feet fall off every 5 minutes. Apart from that its a good choice.

Also wanna say thanks to everyone on this site for making me skint cuz i cant resist a bargain!! :-D I visit here most days and its a great site

seen this thread today contacted my local store in hamilton kind lady put one aside for me and i went and got it this afternoon
im really chuffed with it i dont think the catches are hard to work at all
ive already used it to get up onto the roof (bungalow) and fix the loose tiles
it also included the platforms which look sturdy and will last
attached the stabiliser bars to top and bottom using the bolts supplied

great deal i think
rep left well done the original poster
