Anyone know where I can get a good one without a grill (just want a high power microwave at a good price)? That said, I'll take this one just based on the warranty

Good microwave/grill.
Got one myself when it was £29.99 last year.

Have a look at Asda. We bought a Cookworks for about £25 5 years ago and it is still working to this day. Had to replace the wave guide cover in the chamber (you know the small silver or white cover bit usually held on with a screw) but that was about £3 from a local domestic shop. Good buy in my opinion :)

Hope it was not the model they had to recall.

300,000 units apparently as they did not have a batch number they had to recall them all. They did stick little 2" ad's in the papers, but most people missed them.

No mate like I said this model is about 5 years old I think 90% of them will be on the local tip by now. Got to admit we are due a new one but I too want something without a grill so will have to look at Asda I suppose

Looked in my local Asda and nothing comparable to this one, so got the grill one anyway. Plus it will take my 'massive' dinner plate, which my old one used to struggle with
