I'll tell you the truth, I've never heard of this guy, but apparently he recently got the world record for telling the most jokes in an hour...

This is the Tim Vine live DVD - priced at £3.99 including delivery from Play.com - the cheapest I can see elsewhere for this item is £13!! Great bargain - snap them up fast! Would make a great xmas pressie for a fan... or someone who's never heard of him.

I'll say this again - Play.com are currently showing this as "temporarily out of stock" - in my experience they get them in really fast, sometimes faster than they can update their website!!!

The Guinness Wolrd Record holder for telling the most jokes in one hour, star of 'The Sketch Show' and known for having more punch lines per minute than any other comedian, Tim Vine presents his first ever DVD, 'Tim Vine - Live'!

Tim's unique style and trademark quick fire puns have established him as one of Britain's most talented comedians. 'Tim Vine - Live' is jam-packed with an inspired medley of one-liners, hilarious musical gags and wacky props. With a live audience present, this DVD also features some priceless moments showing Tim's witty improvisation. Tim Vine's continual barrage of side-splitting jokes will have you begging for mercy!

To mark the release of 'Tim Vine - Live', Tim recently broke the Guinness World Record for telling the most jokes in one hour. Tim's performance smashed the current record holder's score of 362, as he dazzled the audience with an astonishing 499 jokes in 60 minutes!

He's quite funny. A bit of a throw back to 80s stand-up/variety comedy. This DVD is from 2003/4? Got it in the after-xmas sale for a couple of quid if memory serves. A typical Des O'Connor talk show guest, if you know what I mean (think Freddie Starr/Bobby Davro)

Very much one line set-up, one line punchline.

Not a bad DVD for £3.99, but one of those that you watch once, but possibly not again.

I've already noted that in the OP - read it and see my opinion... :)

Haven't seen him on his own but I enjoyed the Sketch Show, the snooker ones with Tim Vine in particular.

He was on some panel quiz show on TV the other day - I'm sure the presenter mentioned his world record, and he said he doesn't hold the title anymore!

He is quite funny if you like older jokes. He's not like modern stand up comedian, but Im sure lots of people will find him funny. He used to do a show on cable called Whittle.

ie - "So I rang up a local building firm, I said 'I want a skip outside my house.' He said 'I'm not stopping you.'"

^^^ Some of those are funny!

So I went to the dentist. He said 'Say Aaah.' I said 'Why?' He said 'My dog's died.

Worth the wait...he's really funny! I've liked him since he presented a gameshow called Whittle on Channel 5 about 8 years ago (as Russ said).
