Got the Dolce Gusto coffee machine for £64
#2
Just in case anyone wants to try amazon instead:
Epson SX215 - cheaper on amazon - £43.49 delivered
Dolce gusto coffee machine is the same price on amazon
#3
The Dyson is actually the DC19T2 not the DC16 (which is the handheld). Not your fault though - Comet have got it wrong on their homepage!
#4
Wow, that Dyson I paid £90 for if its the DC19T2 as suggested above. Was £99.99 from Asda then they were doing the £10 off a £100 spend a while back [I posted it here a few months ago]....

Beware of buying from comet, If anything goes wrong with the item purchased it is a knightmare trying to get a refund...... i found out this to my cost and i will never buy anything from comet again because of it.
#6
is the same comet the advertises,we dont have sales just our lowest prices daily:whistling:
#7
is that iPod dock any good ?
#8
"Epson SX215 printer Was£59.99Now:£49.99".

Really?

I paid £35.99 for one in there when I bought in early May this year.......naughty Comet !
#9
Comet sale prices tend to be the same as standard prices elsewhere. Do the research before buying from them.
#10
its like as though the prices are raised a few weeks before a sale and then lowered for a sale....

soooo original - come on Comet! every other retailer in England has been doing that for years! remember when Argos got in trouble for misleading people with it a few years back?

Certain items here are a bargain - certain items (ipod dock) are not

Let me add another vote to that. I've had problems with Comet, too, and found them to be unhelpful and obstructive, even at head office level, which is where I took the complaint.

They pay little regard to the Sale of Goods Act, and if you've any doubts over that, take a read of the latest issue of Which? One guy successfully sued them over a Sale of Goods Act issue because they wouldn't deal fairly with him. Having won his case, he had to go to court again to force them to pay what the judge had ordered.

Comet is not a company you can trust to deal with you fairly, despite the law. You can take them to court, but you're far better off just avoiding them altogether and buying from a reputable company.

I was wondering this as well. I also noticed how you can trade in your old tv for this to get £100 off. Might be worth getting the 3 year extra care guarantee with that saving since a lot of people are saying how the store guarantee isn't any good.

Same here, but you get Quidco if you order online first and often a cheaper price than instore. A quick email to customer services recently when I complained about an item that I ordered and was not in stock got me a £10 giftcard :whistling:

Yeah...looks like a good TV (although it's only 50hz and doesn't have Freeview HD version). Yip...looks like you get the £100 off for your old 19" Bush CRT too!
"Save £100 on this TV with the Sony Trade In offer. Simply enter voucher code BRAVIA100 in the shopping basket page. See to the right of Add & Save tab for more info."

I too have had such a bad experience with Comet. The lady at the complaints department had such an nonchalant attitude. All I wanted was a water filter that missing when my fridge arrived.......................Almost a year later, im still waiting! :x

On the main page it says "Philips blu-ray player Was£129.99 Now more..." ... doesn't sound like a great sale to me ;-)
