I was thinking the same!!! Wasn't the whole point of these t-shirts to raise money for those in need??? 1p will go far!!

You know what,,,,, Why dont you all stop moaning and get off you bums, go buy them all and then send them to "shelter". That way you know you are doing the right thing and not spending you sad lives moaning all the time !!!!!

To seanjames........ lovely word for someone who gets paid for a living......
Maybe stay there for a while like I needed to do when I was a kid....
Or maybe their b&b isnt good or cheap enough for you !!!!!

If the label says that £5 will go to Comic Relief it could be that Sainsburys already donated that per t-shirt when they took on the stock?

As others have said - buy and donate to a charity that clothes the disadvantaged.

There is a project called The Arches in Nottingham which would probably be very happy to take them off your hands!

as far as I was aware the T-shirts got knocked down to 1p each, however the stores were supposed to give them away for an x-amount donation

Sports Relief shirts

Yeh this is disgusting 1p: how is that charity? **** all those people that get paid **** all for making our regular clothes but as soon as comic relief shirts go for 1p suddenly there's a problem. Double standards much... please.

hot deal

I would buy a few if I saw them and donate them to one of our local charity shops.

They should get at least £1 each for new tagged t -shirts.

are these the t shirts that sports relief asked the Beckhams to design and they thought really hard and finally decided to put a photo of David Beckham and a football on them? genius! and not self centered at all! but rant over these would be good to donate to a charity.

Does anyone know if they are still selling dringking bottles?

These were marked as half price in Eastleigh Sainsbury's but didn't scan so I guess the store have deleted the barcode from the system or something. I still got it for £4.99 with a £5 donation to Sport Relief so not too bad.

Or just put a fiver in a tin on your way out.

The instruction was that inventory will be removed centrally and the system price will be reduced to 1p so that shrinkage (cash loss not the tees!) is minimal. Stores were asked to get donations from colleagues or customers for Sport Relief in exchange for a shirt. They are all fair trade cotton so JS have tried to be ethical about this product.

Picked up 3 of these in Dundee store today and went through checkout at £3, there weren't many left so be quick.

I think this is awful. My mum bought 4 of these tee shirts at full price for her nephews and niece for sports relief. She is on the state pension but thought she was doing the right thing for charity , I would hate for her to know that they were selling for 1p now.

Better not tell her that the Christmas decorations are cheaper in January than November.
I do sympathise to a point but she hasn't got less than she bought and from the post above the stock shouldn't have been sold for a penny, it should have been sold for an additional donation with Sainsbury's taking the hit.
