I thought this might be useful to some people, especially those who missed out on the HP deal on

Aldi have another Multimedia PC coming on offer soon. As yet there is no release date, but I would assume it would be Sunday 4th February.

As yet there is no details of the spec, but knowing Aldi and their PC offers, it will usually be worth waiting for.

Hope this helps someone anyway and as soon as I get some more information, I will update the post.

My computer was bought from aldi and for the price it was a bargain and I`ve never had any trouble with it.
Should this of not been posted as a "Tip" then?
If thats the case, can a Mod move/change this as necessary. Sorry, this is only my second deal post.
No worries, just all rumours and no fact so there is no deal yet...
Although the price off their systems are good i have had to wait quiet long to get mine repaired (almost 4 weeks) and even then it still shuts down by itself.Their is warranty included on their machines but its a 0870 number and i have just had the bill costing me a total of over £13 to get them to come out and repair it.
They not on
They not on

I was looking for that but my old unit which i was using while Medion unit shut down was just way to old.I need to call them again and sort this out.

Specs look very similar to the HP deal at £499 earlier in the week, although that included a 19" Widescreen Monitor.
any idea what price this'll be guys? cheers

Just states coming soon
I seem to remember they sell one all singing all dancing one for £650 and then this one will be the cheaper alternative at about £350-400 ish. Probably wrong though.
I would say £299 would be perfect, maybe £349 max but anything more and they are pushing their luck.
bit premature posting this deal?
bit premature posting this deal?

Does it really matter if its in advance or not? At least it allows someone who wants to buy a PC the choice to either buy now or wait for this one.

Hi, this machine is expensive for £399.99 IMHO and should be in the region of £299.99 to £349.99. Pentium-D are power hungry processors. This is not such a good buy as the Core2Duo that Medion/Aldi were offering Nov/Dec 2006.
This comes with Vista Premium though which is good at a guess.

Also from Aldi at the same time is this 17" monitor for only £99.99:-

VGA input
Brightness 300 CD/m2
Horizontal viewing angle of 176°
Vertical viewing angle of 170°
Maximum resolution 1280 × 1024
On screen display
Universal line power
VGA cable
Audio cable
Am I right in thinking this has a comparable Spec to the one at Comet for £269 discussed HERE

Seems like the differences on this Aldi one are: better graphics card (though still not brilliant and upgrade would still be required for latest games), TV Tuner has Digital and Vista is pre-loaded rather than an upgrade.

Still £130 more expensive...not sure the Aldi is worth it. Plus this is a Medion (feels faint at the mention of Medion and their customer services AARRGGH)
Posted on the aldi website now:

£399 from 15/02/07

Although looking at the specs, it isn't that much of a hot deal for £399 since it is only a Pentium D and not the new core 2 duo. Get queuing early if you want one!

Full specs can be found here:
