Command & Conquer 3 : Tiberium Wars for the Xbox 360 is just £10.98 delivered @ Hmv!

Details: March, 2047. A massive nuclear fireball explodes high in the night sky, marking the dramatic beginning to the Third Tiberium War and long-awaited return of the most groundbreaking Real-time Strategy franchise (RTS) of all time. The critically-acclaimed Command & Conquer (C&C) series returns with 'Command & Conquer 3 Tiberium Wars'. Setting the standard for the future of RTS gaming once more, C&C 3 takes you back to where it all began the Tiberium Universe.

In 2047, Tiberium has blanketed the Earth, which is now divided into zones based on the level of Tiberium infestation. Pristine Blue Zones represent 20% of the planet's surface and are the last refuge of the civilized world. Partially habitable Yellow Zones make up 50% of the planet's surface; most of the world's population lives in these war-torn and ecologically ravaged areas. The remaining 30% of the planet is uninhabitable, a Tiberium wasteland swept by violent Ion Storms. Red Zones are like the surface of an Alien planet.

I cant remember which company people were talking about the other day that said certain products ending in .98p and not .99p were never honoured. just seems strange as i glanced round that page that absolutely everything else was .99p.

Interesting - but this Amazon reviewer says there's no problem with this:

I've never written a review before, but I thought I would for anyone concerned about the control system for the 360. I loved the original C&C games, and the Red Alert ones too, but on the PC. As my laptop wont run the PC version and although I thought it would be impossible to port to a controller based console, I figured it would be worth a try after reading a previous reviewers comments.
And I must say, if you've used a 360 before it will take very little time to get used to the controls, especially after the slightly slow but very clear boot camp you'll be orchestrating manouvers and issuing orders with little or no trouble at all. I've only played a couple of the missions and a few skirmishes, and so far so good. The missions seem well thought out and are interesting enough in direction. The video sequences are well done, with the colonel from starship troopers and Sawyer from Lost, amongst others. And the units are diverse, well animated and some of the explosions and superweapon graphics are sensational. Just watching some of the big, potentially huge, battles are visually breathtaking.
So at the risk of sounding like an employee of EA, I'd advise anyone who is a fan of the series, and indeed genre, and perhaps doesn't have the capability of the PC version to give this game a go. Don't be put off by the lack of a trusty mouse and keyboard.
Hope this was useful, and hope you aren't disappointed if you do give it a try, this is after all, only my humble opinion.

The cards are locked to the first HMV.com account that uses the card so unless someone has a spare unused card lying around then you're out of luck I'm afraid.

And yes, you go to a store and ask for one.
You may be able to order one online too.

Why when I add this to my basket is the price showing £17.99 or am I missing something?
#35
when i add this to basket it says £17.99 even thou it says £10.98 am i missing a voucher code or somthing?
#36
Same as Viper......:x

If anyone is worried about the controls, I beleive they are pretty similar to lord of the rings battle for middle earth 2, which I have played quite a bit for my 360. The controls are good, although it does take a while to remember what button does what and it is not as easy to control as the PC version, especially when trying to select small units or quicly access bookmarks. It is definitly playable though and I would recommend it,

Dave.
#38
Love the game but hate the control method with the 360, much prefer to play this on th PC, hot price though!
#39
what the **** going on comes up as 17.99 on check out ?

Showing as £10.98 in the product details, but, goes into the basket @ £17.99

Maybe I am doing something wrong or HMV have corrected a mis-price?
