Welcome back, Commander! Command & Conquer 4 allows C&C fans to finally experience the epic conclusion to one of gaming's most beloved and longest-running series, the 15-year Tiberium saga. Kane. GDI. Nod. Tiberium. How will it end? Find out in Command & Conquer 4, told through gritty live-action cinematics, persistent player progression, and a multitude of innovations to the classic fast and fluid Command & Conquer gameplay.

In the year 2062, humanity found itself on the brink of extinction. Tiberium, the mysterious, alien crystalline structure that infested Earth for decades and caused years of relentless conflict between the Global Defence Initiative (GDI) and the Brotherhood of Nod, was close to rendering the planet uninhabitable. In the midst of this crisis, Kane, Nod's prophetic leader, emerged from seclusion to deliver GDI the message that he had developed a system that could control Tiberium and harness its power. But he could not build this "Tiberium Control Network" without GDI's cooperation. Thus, the two opposing factions - GDI and Nod - found themselves in a desperate and unlikely alliance to stop Tiberium from extinguishing mankind.

Now, after 15 years, the network is nearly complete. Tiberium is under strict control and our revitalised planet is on the cusp of a new age of prosperity and progress. It is only now that the world's citizens begin to seriously ponder why Kane chose to help, and what he will want in return. These questions and more lead to the dramatic final act of the Tiberium saga.

* The Epic Conclusion to the Tiberium Saga: Kane returns in the thrilling conclusion to one of gaming's longest running storylines, told through gritty live-action cinematics. Choose to take on the campaign solo or team up with a friend and play cooperatively!
* Persistent Player Progression: The more enemy units you destroy, the more experience points you earn to progress your player profile! Level up to unlock new units, powers, and upgrades to make your army more powerful!
* Always on the Move: For the first time ever in the C&C series: a massive, mobile, all-in-one base, The Crawler, lets you pack up and move your base with your army for a new layer of strategic depth. Build units as you move across the field, and deploy whenever and wherever you choose!
* Choose Your Class: Choose from three unique classes from both GDI and Nod, each with its own specialised units and powers, for more strategic and combative options that match your play style of choice! Offence, Defence, or Support classes - which will you pick?
* Team Up and Take the Battle Online: Join your fellow commanders online and tackle your opponents in the biggest C&C multiplayer to date, featuring 5 vs 5 objective-based battles! Choose your favourite class and take online strategy action to the next level as you conquer objectives while pummelling your enemies. The all-new party system lets you move with your party of friends from one online battle to the next.

Cant argue with the price - hot on that front - But looking at reviews the game blows chunks! - Shame

good price :-)

Good price. Just want to make sure people are aware of the anti piracy measures this game employs:

Dropping faster than Jordan's knickers.

Even an EA employee has posted how annoying the DRM is, and that Steam solution offers a better compromise - if your connection or the EA servers drops you lose all progress and have to start the mission again (in single player, this just isn;t acceptable). http://www.bluesnews.com/s/108706/ea-on-c+c4-drm

This is basically just the same as the Ubi DRM, requiring a constant internet connection to play in Single Player.

Probably explains why the price has dropped so quickly - just avoid until the DRM is patched out.

There's alot more reasons why this has dropped in price quickly!! I bought it for multiplayer, which although not perfect, in generally a better experience that previous c&c's. Unfortunately the game is far from finished. Especially the single player where they basically made half a game!

*Sigh*, another franchise destroyed by EA. Now I know how Ultima fans felt.

Still, nice to know the price is plummeting- might be cheap enough to pick up just to see how the story ends before too long.
#8
damn just bought it from asda £27

The reviews for this game have been scathing. What about the poor people who don't have an internet connection? These anti-piracy measures are self-defeating.
#10
Always hated EA! And back in the day when they bought and distroyed westwood, i knew it was going to get worse.

But its Red Alert im a fan of rather than C&C.
#11
I would've bought this because it's C&C, but their DRM has prevented me from buying it. I love how that works.

"We're going to make it so difficult for you to play this legally that if you want to play it you'll have to pirate it"

Good price but its worst CC ever....

i would have bought this if it wasn't because of the reviews
#15
Best bit of C&C was the base building (my opinion). Without it, its lost a lot of its strategic gameplay.
#16
Shame about the DRM, one of the things I really like about Red Alert 3 is the fact that you don't even need the disc in the DVD drive to play it.

Yep, and it's already available from sources of pirated software without all of the annoyance...and an instant download without having to go through clunky-way-too-graphical websites/software. It was probably pirated a week before release date as well, although I didn't check, the main reason for me not wanting this game is, it just doesn't seem to be C&C anymore, not how it used to be.

I don't on any PC game that I play, because I crack them even though they're bought legit
#18
Great price for those who wanted to buy it, but I don't count myself in that number. Mainly because of the poor reviews, but also because of the DRM. I have no problem with stringent DRM personally, but needing a constant internet connection will punish the legitimate consumers more than the pirates. A poor move for me.

We are going to have to act, if we want to live in a different world.

Concurred.

Red Alert still the best version.

This DRM thing is disgusting though. The only way you can play this game correctly is if you go and download it illegally. :p Nice one EA. Hahaha.

Agreed

This is the second time I've been in support of the pirates  First was Spore.
#22
Stupid DRM if it wasn't for that I would have bought it!
#23
This game doesn't deserve the C&C name...

Download the videos off youtube, the only good part of C&C this game keeps :)
#24
Its so crap I truely recon this is one my worst buys ever in life, I would have rather lost £30 than play this again. Didn't work from install, crap game play and the single player is so short its shocking. DRM is bad as well to top it off.
:x
#25
I was unlucky enough to play the Beta...awful game. Just don't...honestly...the same stupid spamming tactics are used over and over...

Red alert 2 all they way :]

I don't use discs for 90% of PC games now anyways as I buy nearly all of them off Steam :)
#27
takin mine back today is it wont connect onlie so cant play it
#28
took it back and exchanged for battlefield 2, much better game
#29
got mine and cracked it straight away (really good ones out there if you search) however it is the single worst game i think i've ever played and has managed to destroy the franchise once and for all. It annoys me how EA managed to completely ignore all the fans in making this and producing the polished turd which is now available to buy with the strictest drm out there. Good price compared to elsewhere but the game isn't even worth that much
#30
i gave up on the game the second I heard that they canned the entire studio straight after the game went gold...
