Great games and you can still play them online at kali.net :)
#7
RA2 is one of the best games ever. It's a shame the online play was ruined by folk cheating...
#8
Worth it for the Kari Wuhrer cut-scenes alone! As well as great games. Fantastic bargain if you can get one!
#9
Another good point is that you can load 4 different PC's with RA2 and play over your LAN with no need to insert the disc.
#10

Awesome deal

Great looking deal, but a lot of reviews I've seen say that the earlier versions of C&C on the DVD are so buggy they're unplayable... Anyone know whether the earliest games will play on Windows 7 64-bit, before I crack out my credit card??
#16
just trying now but at the moment the launcher wont load

Doesn't sound like a promising start! I think I'll leave it for now then... :x

There are some patches on the forums here

Also you can download quite a few of the earlier ones for free including the Red Alerts.

Installing all these would be a nightmare.

Ouch... Any game which comes with a 10,000 word essay on how to install it is probably not worth the hassle in my book... It'd cost me more than the price of the disk in electricity just trying to work out how to get the damn thing started!!

I stood in my local game looking at this very game, had it in my hand about to buy it, then thought better of it. I think I would rather remember it with rose tinted glasses on that install it and remove all illusion that it is no longer the best game known to man, some stones are better left unturned.

Good price if you have never played them though.

Yeah just run in compatibility mode for windows XP or even 98, works a treat. Theres also a first decade patch that solves a shitload of problems with the new OS (see http://planetcnc.gamespy.com/View.php?view=Other.Detail&id=154) and a patch that fixes network play (http://rapidshare.com/files/165533326/ts_ra2_lanpatch_1_00.zip.html)

256MB RAM
9.8 GB HDD space
8x DVD Drive
DirectX 8.1 compatible 32 MB Video Card

if people have enough points they can get this game for £4.48 with the GAME Reward Card or they can do it this way, both deals are great anyway, ur getting 12 C&C games for less than 40p each lol:w00t:
#35
Well I've got all of these games in various packs..

All the older games in a cardboard A4 booklet type thing, but the discs always fall out.

Also have Generals and Zero Hour in proper cases, but it's going to be nice to have all in one case and on one DVD.

Will probably sell the others, or give them to a friend.
#36
Great deal! just ordered mine. westwood is the best
