the price was on offer instore and they were stacked up in front of the cash counter. the smaller one was also present for £10 plus vat. to be honest, it is quite a large antenna and the medium one should be big enough for most people.

Can you not read?, I said it was a " poor quality item " as are all of these gold coloured aerials, the coating quickly oxidises and then the weather elements eat away at the aluminium underneath, shortening their life span.

Buy a better quality aerial for far less like this one;

Yes I can read but other then saying this was utter rubbish you had
not said anything. Why do you have to be so offensive? Me and others
use this as a social site.

Well at least I have given some advice to others which is more than you have, all you have done is nit-picked, and added exactly zilch to the thread.

I agree - I bought a similar gold-plated Commtel aerial a couple of years ago and it is pants. Hardly finds and retains an adequate signal. The "gold-plating" has worn off and parts of the aerial had been falling off!!! I can't get a single freeview channel now! Avoid like the plague if you want to save some money and hassle.

Bought a similar "gold-plated model from Commtel a couple of years ago and it is rubbish! Plating wore off after a few short months and it's falling to bits now. Can no longer receive even a single freeview channel. Avoid.

PS
HUKD sort this out - my posts keep disappearing!

Your second post was infinitely more informative than your first. If you'd included that information in your first post I'm sure that it wouldn't have provoked the (perfectly reasonable) response by Gluke21.
Perhaps it was Gluke21's use of capitals & an exclamation mark that offended you. However, I do feel that your response was a little excessive. Hey, this is HUKD not YouTube! ;-)

The screw fix aerial is a massive piece of kit for which you will need a scaffold tube to support!
