I didn't know Datawrite did flash memory? I'll wait for the reviews.

wow 8GB.
Nice Deal, voted hot!!

A note of caution though make sure your camera or whatever your using it for can use an 8gb card as a lot are limited to 4gb or smaller.

very good deal most places seems to be about 50 quid but have seen one store selling this card for 121 quid.

Yeah, I think I'll stick with SanDisk.

Suppose its a good price though.

These cards are ok I bought a 2gb for my Sony DSLR and its fine. Although now i'm using a 4gb Sandisk Extreme3.

Funny that the cheapest Postage increases to £5.96 when using Google Checkout & is only £2.84 on the normal checkout
:x

Is it not a microdrive that is inside an ipod mini?

So you are still £6.86 in pocket?

My friend purchased one of these recently (for about £40) and got read errors on his canon DSLR and lost all the images.

May have been a one-off but 8gb of photos is alot to lose

It's possible to swap out the microdrive for cf cards, http://geektechnique.org/projectlab/753/how-to-turn-your-ipod-mini-into-a-flash-based-ipod

I bought a Datawrite 2Gb and my card reader struggles to read it, I have to keep removing it and inserting it till it detects it. No problem at all with all my Sandisk ones

I do a lot of photography work and just use a bunch 1GB cards instead of 1 big 8GB card. I had a 4GB and died - that was a lot of stuff in there that could not be recovered.

I have a JVC Everio GZ-MC500 camera. It can take SD/CF II and microdrives.(Currently have 2 4GB hitachi microdrives for it). Does anybody know if it will take this 8GB CF card. Can't find the info myself by googling, help appreciated.

Datawrite cards are not reliable, do some research if your thinking of getting one, they are no better than Datawrite yellow top DVD's.
#16
i wouldn't risk putting this in my camera. I lost 2 gig from a wedding photo session once and that was annoying enough, to lose 8gig would be my worst nightmare!

buy a couple of 2gig cards instead and spend a little extra.

it's a great deal though if you have a small card reader...turn it into an 8gig pen drive

Hey, the link shows no product and when I search the site for it, it doesn't come up with an 8GB version.

EDIT: AH! It's there now. Weird...

Bleuch, I've got a free 4GB Datawrite SD card and it's so painfully slow I don't use it. I'm not sure how it'll compare to the SDHC however I wouldn't keep your hopes up!
