Compact Flash (CF) Memory Card - 16GB - Sandisk Extreme III - AMAZING PRICE! £59.99

ehadzehadz

Don't think you need much of details about the product... awesome deal.... next best deal is @ play.com for £62.99.

Play one looks like the better deal , it is 30MB/s as it says in the customer reviews.

Much better deal than buying 4GB or 8GB s. But some might say 4GB and 8GBs are better coz if you loose the 16GB one you loose a lot of data with it. But this deal is a steal.

looks like some people here do not know about the speeds of CF cards etc. Feel sorry for the people who will miss the deal due to cold votes.

This is a old model card with ESP technology with 20MB/second sequential read and write. The new Extreme III card which comes for a few quid more is 30MB/s.
May be users are voting cold because of it...

    @Play

It says Fast 30MB/ sec sequential read/write speeds.

I voted hot, and dont understand why people are voting cold.

Though I personally prefer 2 x 4GB cards for my Canon SLR, which shooting in RAW provides me with enough storage.

I think some people find it funny to vote cold for no reason....

Play has listed it wrong. Here is sandisk's press release for 16GB CF ESP card.

Seems like play has got it wrong. May be image is of an old card or description is of a new card.
Just checked Sandisk website. Found that the speed is 20MB/s for their ESP card.

not really.. if you check customer reviews at play. It says it is 30MB/s. :)

May be play is selling the new version and got the image wrong...
7daysshop clearly describes it as 20MB/s...

Looks like a great deal from me.
    7day shop say
Min 20MB/second sequential read and write so it reads and writes at a min of 20m/b

looks like a good price to me, can't find it any cheaper. I use mine in the sony dslr but went for 2 smaller cards incase it got corrupt and lost all my photos. Have 9 degrees from me.

Heat added, although some explanation of visiual differences on the two type of Extreme III would be nice? Why isn't there an Extreme IV for the 30MB/s version?

20MB/s stopped production a while back now (6 months?).

The Extreme IV series is different, and faster, to the Extreme III series.

Not voting here, because I know how cheap these are in the US, especially after rebates.

I would recommend the one from play. Although 20MB/s version is no more. still this is the best deal out of 16GB sandisk CF cards out there.... :)
