Poor reviews and No Stock anywhere near Leeds

never thought these things were a good idea. Don't fancy my post being nicked and my idea going along with it. Still cheap as chips so I guess a good deal for anyone willing to risk leaving their post out side there house in a handy box.

these are a total pain for us poor posties, cannot fit ****** all in 'em, the top loading ones are so much better.
#5
Would make a good ashtray

Oh but remember to put an ash tray symbol on it or the posty may put your letters in there and they might go up in smoke LOL:oops:

have to agree with the comments, we used one when we had building work at the front of our house, really easy to get most of the letters out of them by hand even for an adult. but at the price it has to be hot as I paid 19.99

Listen to the Postie people! These are not well designed. Had one and changed it for a top loading style one as few letters go in without needing to be bent, let alone newspapers etc. Ours ripped the hell out of the first couple of pages of our newspaper every day!

gotta agree that these are no good for the modern day post..

in my younger days I lived in a bedsit and the landlord had a similar thing in the hallway and he provided us with envelopes which we put our rent in and posted it in the box so there's a good use for one, or maybe it could be used as a comments/ballot/suggestion box?

Reserved one but now undecided...... My dogs eat my post so was going to stop having it delivered altogether, but this could be better?

If someone insists on having something like this where it is impossible to post something flat, surely the answer is to have some fun screwing them up and ramming their letters in.

Rubbish product, fantastic price. Heat added.

Hot!

Just got one for business address (for when shutters are up).

Cheers.

I have the same problem!
I got one of these for £20 (though it is the 'elite' top loading version-lol!)

Surely from the postie's view this is better than putting your hand into a letterbox with a rottweiler (that doesn't like you) on the other side, as in my house!
At least with one of these my mail is in one piece.

Price is crazy cheap so HOT!

And mostly about my dogs eating some tickets that are being posted to me.....

Ha Ha!
That is the most difficult one to solve. I put clear tape over mine and they still try to post through the letterbox?! Then I put a note on it and they still continued to use it?!

Think they've got the message now-you could maybe speak to your postie and let them know not to use it-thas what I ended up doing.

Yeah i thought about taping it up.... Wish i hadnt had a letter box put in now!!!

Exactly, just speak to us, we don't bite:w00t:

Most people I deliver too have these simply because of dogs eating their mail and others because they have had a porch fitted without a letterbox. I really would recommend the top loading ones above these by a million miles. We don't like screwing up your letters just to get them in these stupid boxes honestly we don't :whistling:

The top loading ones can fit DVD's from HMV/Amazon etc, with these badly designed front loading ones you have no chance at all, just think of all those HUKD's for films and games and you will have to go to the mail office to pick them up, all that petrol would soon have paid for a decent top loading mailbox :thumbsup:

Since they started 'streamlining' the whole operation its only going to get later and later. I didn't leave the sorting office until 9:40am today, a few weeks ago that would have been as early as 8am. IMO before you know it everyone will be getting their post mid afternoon.

We've been looking at getting one of these after the one that was on the house when we bought it is bust.

But I've just ordered this bad boy: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Parcel-Safe-PS1-Green/dp/B000NUWCC6/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=diy&qid=1237552584&sr=8-1
