Great game(s),,,Heat & Rep added :-)

It's not really a pain to install or get working online. The only problem is downloading lots of patches but I'd imagine they're all on there as its got the latest expansion.

If it's the same boxset I got a few months ago, you'll be spending a wee while downloading the rather large patches.

I bought this a while ago £9.99 as it was cheaper than just buying tales of valour by itself....
#7
good price for CoH

The anthology is patched up to 2.3 i believe, so theres only a couple to download and for me they came down extremely fast. Not sure what you mean about being a pain to play online its no harder or easier than any other mp games tbf. Its a an absolute steal at this price heat added

its a briliant game first 2 where the best and the download system is not the best for updating the game :x

Comes patched to 2.500 , just need 3 patches total about 180mb to get to 2.601 :)
#11
Aye, beyond that the games are fun, the massive require patching is the most remember thing by me. Sounds like this set is a bit better than the one I got (the one before the last game was released) patching-wise.

Entirely :)

I see that this is described as a RTS (real time strategy) game. What exactly does that mean? I know I like fps games, so if it's similar, I'll probably go for it.

More specifically, CoH is a tactical game you control squads on a battlefield. The game is played out in real-time and you give orders to your troops. The strategy element is more in the management of resources and determining how to achieve the goals for the map you are playing. To compare, an FPS is generally you playing A character in first-person, while this puts you in control of a side. FPS is generally in First Person perspective, while CoH is in 3rd person (you observe the battlefield from above).

its a brilliant game and well worth £10 (sell for £15+ on ebay anyway). You could spend weeks playing this lot and still not get bored.

I just received mine and it has 3 instruction booklets

1. COH - tales of valour - Install key is on the back of the guide

2. COH - opposing forces - Install key is on the back of the guide

3. COH - Original Game - Install key is BLANK on the back of the guide

Install instructions state I will need all 3 keys as and when I come to play each variation.

Anyone else recently bought this and noticed the key is missing?

Aye - i too have a product key missing...does this affect anything ?
#20
If it is anything like the last compendium edition, one of your keys may not be where it is supposed to be (on the back of the guide) but instead in the box.on a sticker.

no

1. Install game COH - tales of valour using that key

2. Install game COH - opposing forces using that key

3. COH original automatically gets installed anyway

BTW, mine crashes all the time under win7 64bit :x
